Now fasting could be done as per the day represented by the lord of a specific house or as per the tithi lorded by a planet. Suppose someone wants to generally get good results in office, then will fasting on the day of the planet that lords 10th house be of help? How does this differ in result from fasting on the day of the planet that lords A10? My two cents: As I understand, for material success from the office/job, fasting day should be related to the lord of the house of A10. Also one should consider D10 besides rasi. The jyotir linga mantra for 5th house in D10 is also recommended. But if the office is a temple/math and the native is looking for spiritual gain I think fasting on the day of the 10th house will be good. Gurus may correct me.
