Guest guest
Respected List members, In the Brhat Nakshatra book (those of you who attended the Nakshatra Conference or have a copy) the Ardra Nakshatra is said to have Manas Tatva (Page 47). I am familiar with the Agni, Vayu, Akash, Prithvi and Jala tatvas. Does Ardra belong to any of these Tatvas ? Similarly Sravana Nakshatra has the Manas Tatva. Can anyone please explain the Manas Tatva if it is one of the five Tatvas or is it something different. Thanks SAIMOHAN K
Guest guest
Dear Saimohan, There are '24-tattva' and '36-tattva' and may be some 'other' schemes that you may explore from various Philosophies (Samkhya, Vedanta etc.). Manas tattva belongs to the group of atma-tattvas which are subtler than the gross 5 tattvas you have mentioned below. It is relatively more sukshama than akasha tattva (that corresponds to the Vishuddhi Chakra)and the other 4 tattvas grosser than akasha. The Manas Tattva corresponds to the region of Ajna Chakra. Infact, there is also a manas-chakra described as one a bit above the ajna chakra.
