Pranam. I am learning Vedic Astrology and have a few questions

regarding relationship between Arudha lagna , Hora lagna Paka lagna

and Shree lagna.

In a chart with Virgo Ascendant, where the ascendant is also the Ghatika

lagna, and the ascendant lord is sitting in Aries in the eighth house

with Exalted Sun and Rahu as the lord of sixth. Aries also happens to

be Hora lagna and Paka lagna.

1. What is the effect of Mercury as the ascendant lord as a maha yogada.

2. In the Mahadasa of the Sun, how does this relationship between

Hora, Ghatika, Paka and ascendant play out. Mercury is combust in this

chart being within 5 degrees of in the Sun.Jupiter in the fourth in

its own house is retrogade but aspects the eighth house.

3. Arudha lagna is in Scorpio. The lord of Arudha and Hora happen to

be in the 11th. Mars also happens to be Atmakaraka. Mars is Conjunct

Saturn in the eleventh. Saturn is the lord of 5th and 6th, Shree lagna

happens to be 5th house in Capricorn.

What kind of effects should one expect in Sun's Dasha.

Just trying to understand the effects of all this relatioships,

Positives and negatives both.

Om Gurave Namah

Dear Sir.......................

First of all consider the relationship of Lagna to the time that has

elapsed from Sunrise on your birth day. The difference between the two

is obtained by subtracting sunrise time from the birth time. As it

takes aproximately 2 hrs or 5 periods of 24 minutes for lagna to move

30 degrees...divide this difference number by 2 and convert into

degrees minutes

seconds and add to the longitude of the Sun. The result shows the

Bhava Lagna or the Lagna that corresponds to the moment of Sunrise

and your birth time.

Hora Lagna moves twice as fast as this..as it takes 1 hour or 2.5

ghatika for lagna to move 30 degrees....and Hora Lagna corresponds to

the 2nd house and is used to see wealth.

Ghatika Lagna moves five times as fast as it takes 24 minutes to move

30 degrees..........Ghatika Lagna corresponds to the 5th house and is

used to see power and authority or factors related to a persons rise

or fall in society or simply what it is that empowers an individual.

Shree Lagna is connected to the Moon and Lagna and is used to analyze

factors contributing to prosperity.

In your chart or for the chart for which you provided the data, the

exalted Sun 12th lord with Rahu 6th lord qualifies for Vipareet Raja

Yoga......which gives success after struggle in addition to

qualifying for the role as Maha Yogada.

Something you should read regarding these factors:

http://www.scribd.com/doc/259995/12-yogada

http://www.scribd.com/doc/259987/5-vipareeta-rajayoga

In my honest opinion I dont know if these planets will give you rise

in wealth and power....with the only link to the Lagna being the

Mercury and being placed in the 8th house without any aspect on lagna

itself.........it seems more suited to damage longevity as the Paka

Lagna is used to see impacts on your physical being. I see you are

also born on a Sunday and Sun is exalted you are a vigourous

individual.

The benefit may acrue to someone else perhaps children or spouse....

The Sun has 6 benefic points in its AV..... 8th house has 29 benefic

points.....Sun has 5 good divisions in the varga charts....recieves

the aspect of Jupiter whose influence as lord of the house of

obstacles is dubious.

Now here is the relationship to the Arudha Lagna it aspects 12th from

AL which shows expenditure are you in debt? taxes? Sun aspecting 12th

from AL is expenditure on account of government. Sun occupying Vipat

star(3rd star)gives troubles in its dasa and Saturns transit in the

sign Leo where there are absolutely none of the benefic points, this

cannot be helping the matters.

So I dont see you becoming a king in this dasa I also dont see you

becoming a pauper either.

May God bless you.....
