Debilitation of Jupiter in Makara

Does the debilitation of Jupiter in Makara nullify the good effects of

a beneficial transit such as for Dhanus rasi natives who have Guru move

to the 2nd house from the moon sign? Will it also spoil the effects of

a beneficial vimsottari dasa when Guru is the Mahadasa lord? Would

really appreciate an elucidation of this point in this forum where

there are so many learned astrologers.

Dear friend,

 

Answer of your query lies in understanding the difference between sign

and house. Sign shows " how " whereas House indicates " what " . In other

words, planet in house reveals what area of life and planet in sign

tells how an even may take place.

 

Now taking the case of Sagittarius (as you asked), 2nd house is a dhan

(wealth) and kutumb (family) house. Jupiter's transit in 2nd house is

fruitful for these (and other associated significations). However,

transit of a planet in good house BUT bad sign does not nullify the

result. It only curtails the complete yield, or say, quality of fruit

may not be good. That is, native may get opportunity of accumulating

wealth, learning and happiness from family. But the way, these

significations appear would not be pleasing. Money may come through

questionable means or getting assets by suffering others. Learning

from non-satvic sources or in an unhappy/forced circumstances etc.

 

Vice-versa, effect of a transit in bad house BUT unfavourable sign

should delineate.
