Dear All,

I found the undermentioned reference on chart of Sri Nilakantharadhya

and tried to infer the calculations through JHora.

The date comes to 18th Jan 3097 BC corresponding to Swabhanu-Chitra-

Sukla Dasami (as given in the reference).

However, the planetary positions given with this date (as per JHora)

seem off-mark (except Mo in Pushya).

As per the given reference, the position of planets is as follows:

Lagna: Cancer, with Jup and Moon (Pushya) (as required for avataras?)

9th house: Pi with Mars

10th house: Ar, Sun with Mercury

11th house: Ta, Saturn with Venus

(nodes - not mentioned/can't find)

However, with Jhora, Saturn in Ta is from approx.15th Mar 3096 BC

(Tharana) to 13th Apr 3094 BC (Vyaya);

while Jupiter is in Cn from approx. 1st Dec 3099 BC (Vrisha) to 10th

Feb 3098 BC (Chitrabhanu).

Notable is the mention of " Nilakantha Rudramsa " - if it has go

tanything to do with the Rudramsa (D-11).

Question is: What ayanamsa shold be used here - especially in cases

which date back to B.C. - there would be some year when ayanamsa

would have been zero?

(though there doesnt seem to be a consensus on that one?)

What we are using in JHora for Sri Krishna's chart is Lahiri ayanamsa?

Hope this adds to some research.

Best Regards,
