Curious about the real meaning of Bijas, please educate me..

Hello all,

For some unexplained reason, I am extremely curious about Bijas.

Here are the kinds of questions whose answers interest me: What

exactly are they? I know which ones they are (e.g. Om, Hrim, Klim

etc) but I notice - every single Sanskrit sound, or set of sounds,

is not a Bija. And is a Bija the same as a Bija mantra? What exactly

is the connection of a Bija (or Bija mantra) to our subtle body? Are

Bijas more or less powerful that the Prasiddha mantras? Must they be

given only by a Guru? Are they the same as Guru mantras? Must they

only be part of a mantra or can they be repeated by themselves? Do

they require Purascharana of some other mantra?

Separately, of course, I want to know the Bija or Bija mantra for my

own Ishta Devata - signified by Sun in Aquarius navamsa, aspected

only by Rahu from Cancer navamsa. Also would like to know whether

that Bija would stimulate a particular chakra..

Thank you very much,

Sincerely,

Sundeep

Hare Rama Krishna,

Dear Sundeep,

this is a very serious subject. If you are keen to know about Bija

mantras and the proper saddhanas, please contact Ajapa Yogashram in

Laxman Jhula, especially Guru Prasad. He will be able to give you

the proper diksha. You may also wish to contact Ajapa Yoga Foundation

(Mitchell Radow) to send you some books (very unusual rare books

translated from Bengali) which will explain a great deal about the

Bijas.

All the best,

with deep respect to all:

AJ
