Guest guest
Namaste Sohamsa, I would like to request the list members to let me know the birth data of Sri Annamayya. Th data indicated by most of the websites on him (probabaly inforamation from Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam (TTD)), show it as May 09th, 1408 based on " Telugu Panchangam " . The astrological data I could collect is given below. Name : Sri Tallapaka Annamayya DOB : Sarvadhari, Vaisakha month, Pournima, Visakha star. Place: Tallapaka Village, Cuddappah (Kadapa) District, Andhra Pradesh, India. Time of Birth : Unknown People from Andhra Pradesh would definitely know him as the Sankeertana Pitamaha and Vaggeyakara (one who could sing, compose and author). Sri annamayya believed to be the incarnation of Lord Vishnu and he believed to have authored 32,000 Sankeerthanas on Lord Sri Venkateswara of Tirupati, out of which TTD could bring out 14,000 odd to light. And out of those 14000 keertanas only a little more than 1000 are composed according to Canratic Music. Recently, TTD and other organization in India and abroad celebrated 600th anniversary. Now, if we enter the above data in JHora or any other software, we get the tithi as Suddha Panchami. If we change the day to 18/19th of May we get the result indicated above. Hence, I request anyone could kindly pass on the correct birth horoscope, if at all one has it. Warm regards, Shanmukha. PS: Sri Ramesh, husband of Smt. Lakshmi Ramesh, SJC Guru, compiled 1008 keertanas and rare seva videos and photos of Sri Lord Venkateswara of various occassions on two DVDs and they are worth listening to. Telugu speaking people would really enjoy it. I placed in info here to spread the message. I didn't have permission nor I requested them. If I were wrong in placing this info Sri Ramesh may kindly forgive me.
Guest guest
Dear Shanmukha, You must already have seen that using JHora and the astrological data you have given below, we get the date as May 14, 1408 with time of birth between 11:00 to 18:30 (approx) with Moon in Vishakha nakshatra (3-4 padas). I have used Rajampet (which i believe hosts Tallapakkam). Guest guest
Namaste, The date given in TTD website must be based on Julian calendar and not Gregorian calendar. When you enter birthdata in JHora, there is a combo box next to the date that says " calendar used " . It is " Gregorian " by default. Please change it to Julian. Then you will see that it was Visakha nakshatra and Vaisakha Pournima in the afternoon, evening and night of May 9, 1408. I would guess Thula lagna for him, but it is just a guess. Please note that Moon, Venus and Saturn are in Gopuramsa.
