Guest guest
Hare Rama Krsna Guruji, or those who may have some understanding, I need to help find a muhurta for a spiritual individual who moved to India about 35 years ago. He had his kidney removed a few months back, and the operation did not go well, so they need another operation to fix certain other things. Their first surgery was done on Satabisha, which is probably the reason for not healing after the operation. When looking at the criteria in Kalaprakasika for an operation I became a little unclear. The rules for giving a treatment of medicine are to pick auspicious times, benefic days and nakshatras, with benefics in their own vargas or cara rasi- which is very clear. Then when it recommended muhurta for an operation it states: -Commence on a Tuesday or Saturday when Mars is powerful -8th house unoccupied -ruling star: Ardra, Jyeshta, Aslesha, or Mula coinciding with Caturthi, Navami, Caturdashi. -Aries, Cancer, Virgo, or Taurus rising On commencement of a disease their are certain commencements which are considered disastrous: Caturthi on Ardra/Aslesha/Magha, Navami on swati/Jyeshta/Bharani, Caturdasi on P.Phalguni/P.Shadha/P.Badhra- And in general 4, 9, 14, 6, 8 12 and Amavasya are negative. So my questions is: The time seems like it should be malefic. Is this because the text is referring to an operation which would remove a tumor or something negative, and we want it to be destroyed, therefore a malefic muhurta. In this case, it is an operation were the doctor will be trying to make the wounds heal better and therefore should it have a more saumya muhurta, using the day of the lagnesh, etc. Namah Sivaya Freedom
Guest guest
Namaste, Shri.Freedom Cole, I agree with you that Ch.31 of Kaalaprakaasikai deals with commencement of Aayurvedic/ auoshad treatment for various types of ailments but however it is not specific about any rrana cikichaa where surgical intervention is required. But,however Mukurtha NirNayam alias Kaalavidhaanam sloka 317 is more specific about Agni or sasthra (Surgical)vaithiya cikichaa .This sloka advocates that Agni or Sasthra cikichaa has to be done on ones Chandra Tara phalam day coinciding any one of the following nakshtra:Aardra, jyesta,Aasresha,Moola, falling on Sani or Kuja vaara in a ricdha (4,9,14) Tithi with Udayakaala Lagna viz.Mesha,Kataka,Kanni,Thulaa with paapagrha (Rahu,Sun,Mars) in Lagna with a clear 8th house. I hope the above meets with your requirements. With regards, D.Sathiyanarayana Gupta.
