Guest guest
Dear Hariharan ji, 1.Swa is one of the names of 2H. This is a 'Tatsam ' word , which means indicative or pointer to some meaning. The word swa means -owned or material wealth owned by some one. The word Swa MAY NOT BE CONFUSED WITH THE WORD SWAYAM,WHICH MEANS SELF. THIS IS THE REASON THAT swamasa is called amsa of Lagna or Navamsa occupied by Atmakarka. 2.Antya- is the another name of 12H. 3.Udya- is the name of Lagna i.e rising 4.Asta- is the name of 7H , meaning in the mode of setting. Thus Bphs simply indicate 2H,12H ,1H and 7H - IN ORDER OF THEIR IMPORTANCE. The planets in 2H and 12H makes the lagna strongly operative, endowed with many qualities. Lagna and 7H are COMPLEMENTARY houses, The presence of planets in these houses activate the qualities of the self as well as those of the partner , Yogas given in this chapter is like Sutra's and need not be applied verbatim. In 'Bhari Yoga' The importance and emphasis on the strength of 1st and 9th houses is highlighted and also two methods are given as to how these houses get strength, as an example. Bheri yoga can be made operative in many ways, BPHS had indicated only two ways as an example. This chapter needs detailed commentary ,and I sincerely wish your translation will help to prepare detailed commentary on this chapter.A competent Glosser and glossary (Karika) is the need of the hour to understand the depth and intent of Rishi w.r.t. several yogas given in BPHS. Alas some persons in their own inflated wisdom ,consider this BPHS as a work of recent past and not that of ancient Rishi Parasara. There main argument is that their are many versions of BPHS , but they do not realise that 80 to 90 % Sutra's given in these versions are same or almost similar. My knowledge of BPHS is meagre but my study of BPHS is continued since last two decades,God can only give us wisdom to understand it better, Regards, G.K.GOEL Ph: 09350311433 Add: L-409, SARITA VIHAR NEW DELHI-110 076 INDIA ________________________________ bhagavathi_hariharan <bhagavathi_hariharan Saturday, 7 March, 2009 8:30:51 AM Bheri yoga Dear all, //15 sabale bhagyape bheri khagaihi swa antya udaya astagaihi// I am trying to arrive at the exact interpretation of the word " swa antya udaya astamah " . But how you decided that all versions are only and only related to ayanamsa which you follow that is " Citra (Spica 16) pakchhiya Ayanamsa " . Sir you say, you use " Citra (Spica 16) pakchhiya Ayanamsa " because of following reason:- " Citra (Spica 16) pakchhiya Ayanamsa- this means that Sidereal mean longitude of this star is considered as 180 degree. " Sir it is like if i ask to 'A', where is your home 'A' will say in front of 'B' and when i ask to 'B',, where is your home he says in front of 'A'. But nobody knows the exact posn of any point (A's home or B's home) and all ppl are fixing any one of the point (home) just to get other's home. (I think you don’t know one thing all ayanamsa creator after fixing first point of Aries start first Nakshtra from there) I don’t understand why are you so much sure that only " Citra (Spica 16) pakchhiya Ayanamsa " is correct and all 7 versions of BPHS are true only for that Ayanamsa. Please don’t say that you are making comments on the basis of Phalita as Phalita are coming correct according to that ayanamsa only. All ppl of difft Ayanamsha follower make similar sentence. Please take my mail as for your ********ACADEMIC PURPOSE***** *****. Sir you didn’t tell the meaning of CHAR, ACHAR and DWISWABHA RASHI for my ********ACADEMIC PURPOSE***** *****. Sir I am waiting curiously for your response on that mail chain only. Thanks in advance!
