Guest guest
हरे राम कृष्ण Dear Shanmukha, Namaskar. The tradition calls this Navamsa 'Somanatha Navamsa'. Your right, I don't think its available in Jagannatha Hora, but it will be available in the next update of Sri Jyoti Star. In the tradition we also have a Navamsa which we call 'Pada Navamsa' which has the same basis of calculation as the regular Navamsa, but counts in reverse for signs which are 'sama-pada'. Are you aware of the reference to this Navamsa? Yours sincerely, Visti Larsen ---------- Jyotish Guru (Vedic Astrologer) www: http://srigaruda.com @: visti Shanmukha skrev: Namaste Sri Razen, Let me state the fact as far I know. As far as the available Jaimini sutras, a different Jaimini Navamsa calculation is not seen. Yet, the greatest commentator, of course IMHO, Krishna Mishra, the author of Jyotisha Phalaratnamala gave a differnet Namvamsa calculation. The legend, Sri Iranganti Rangacharya named this variation of Navamsa calculation as "Jaimini Navamsa". Yet, Sri Rangacharya advises not to ingnore Parasara Navamsa. This variation of Navamsa is also very authentic since it was Krishna Mishra who wrote about it. Those commentators were very fortunate enough to study the all 8 adhyayas of Jaimini, that is four adhyayas on mathematical part, remaining four on Predictive part (Upadesa sutras). It was Somanatha Mishra, the son of Krishna Mishra said so in his Kalpalatha. In JHora we can get this variation of Navamsa as Krishna Mishra Navamsa. Try it with JHora. If you want to know the application of this chart, you can read my article "Jaimini Navamsa" in Saptarishis Astrology magazine this Annual Issue. To be specific, it is in the 3rd part. Of course, you can read a brief note about it on my personal blog http://sutramritam.blogspot.com Please note that this is not from SJC sampradaya. I wrote above lines not to advertise or not to please my Guru or anybody else. Yet, it it sounds so, kindly excuse me.
