Guest guest
Namaste Sri Srivatsava, I don't know whether I can step in, but please have a look atthe following. As Sri Narasimha already pointed out this release has the option to enter the gender of the native, so the we can have calculations for female births as well. As you know the computations for female charts will be different from male chart which was not followed by Mindsutra Jaimini Light. The dasa years calculation also differs according to sex of the native. Yes, the dasa years in 2nd cycle shall be always same as the first cycle. Guru Ji doesn't follow the (12-years) for secons cycle and he always prefers same years for both cycles. If the recent version errornously gives (12-years) for 2nd cycle, it must be corrected. In fact, in Jaimini it shall be noted that first we have to check out the approximate longevity of the native, then see the applicability of the dasa. AS you may know, that's the precise reason why Jaimini and his commentators like Raghava Bhatta devoted 50 % on Longevity calculation and associated Ayur Dasas. As I understand it, Sri D.KSen has a different approach. He calculates the dasa years for both male and female charts same. And his Antara Dasa calculation is different. Of course, it was hinted in some of the commentaries that AD can be equal to one year irrespective of Maha Dasa years. Of course, to my knowledge, there are more than 4 types of Antara Dasa calculations and shall be used according to the dasa in question. For example, there are Antara Dasa schemes like Navamsa methos, Drekkana Method, Dwadasamsa method etc and of course the one used by SJC. Sri Shanmukh could be right as finding of dasa years in second cycle is conventionally correct. > > Here permit me to state that calculations by mindsutra Jaimini light are unreliable in light of teaching of Rangacharya or Sri DK Sen follow different interpretation. > > Calculation For female Native , as illustrated for Smt indira Gandhi in said article are to be in accordance with Teachings of Commentators .J hora has no option now { by the way previous option in Ver 7.1 was also ineffective.) > Sri Rangacharya has categorically taught in 1988 itself that for female Native Neelkanth metod is not recommended but Raghava bhatt & Nrisimha suri method is to be used. > It will be nice to see If this option is given. It is updated now to version 1.76 from " April 2009*. This brings in several bug-fixes and improvements made in Swiss Ephemeris since June 2002. A notable improvement occurred in version 1.70, where they improved the calculation algorithms to satisfy the latest IAU recommendations. They made the precession model more accurate among other things. For modern dates, this improvement in accuracy makes a difference of a less than a fraction of arc-sec. In fact, for dates after 1000 BC, the difference is less than 1 arc-sec. So it does not matter much. However, for really old dates (e.g. Krishna's chart), this can make a difference of several arc-min in some planets (especially Moon), which can change some divisional charts sometimes. In addition to this improvement in accuracy, several minor bugs, including some in eclipse times, were also fixed. > > > > (2) Weekday and kaala bala of shadbala were miscalculated in old versions of JHora for dates older than 1830 AD. Guest guest
||Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya. Om Namo Narayanaya|| Dear Shanmuka, Greetings. Thanks very much for you many posts and papers on Jaimini astrology. They are truly excellent. Regarding the subject Chara Dasa, many of us will be immensely grateful if you have any paper or information on " Interpretation of Chara Dasa " . If I am not wrong, we should use the CK seven (excluding Rahu unless there is a tie) and not eight (which includes Rahu) when we use the Rangarcharyaji's method that you and Narasimha have so kindly included in JHora 7.33. Thank you once again! Best regards, Somnath ||Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya.
