D10 Amsas -Meaning of INDEX 1 & DIVISION 10

Om Namah Shivayaa! Om Namo Bhagavathe Vasudevayaa!!!

 

Namaskaar, Pandits! Could someone please explain the meaning of the Amsas in the

Dasamsa chart that refer to " INDEX 1 " & " DIVISION 10 " . I could not find them in

my Guru [PVRN's] book, therefore will be grateful if someone could reply.

 

FYI:

 

a] In my D20 chart, Dhanu LL Guru occupies the 5th house and aspects Surya in

own house in the 9th.

 

b] 12th Lord Mars is EXALTED in the 2nd house and is hosted by 2nd Lord Saturn

in own house.

 

c] The 6th and 7th Lords -Mer and Ven -have exchanged houses.

 

Only Jupiter is in Ananta Amsa in D10 in the natal chart.

 

The Tithi-Pravesha chart for 2009 shows MERCURY, SATURN, RAHU and KETU IN Ananta

Amsa in D10 -all in Division 1, Index 10; while Moon and Mars are both in Isaana

Amsa.
