career crisis - requesting help from Sanjay ji

Dear Guruji,

 

I need some help with regards to my career life. Some sudden changes has crept a

lot of uncertainity and I am totally perplexed rather tensed and worried

building lot of stress. I moved from Bangalore to Delhi last year and joined new

compant in Gurgaon on November 16th,

2008.

 

After one good year in this company suddenly they announced a re-organization in

the department that i was working in. My exisiting role got changed to a new

role and they have asked me to apply for the role again and appear for

interview. This role is open to all but there is a huge uncertainty.

 

There are 3 possibilities now:

 

1. If I am able to make it - well and good. In a way it is promotion then. This

is the most ideal scenario for me.

 

2. If I am able to make it they may ask to re-locate to some other region. But

am not willing to re-locate as of now.

 

3. If I am not bale to make it - I may loose job, or they may offer something

else which I dont know I will like or not.

 

Now, I need to understand as to where things are heading and what are the likely

chances for me to get the same role at same location. If not what shall i do?

Need some immediate guidance as interviews shall happpen around 15th -20th

december and things shud be clear by end of december. Requesting help from you.

 

Pls guide so that I can be prepared and plan accordingly.

dear guruji,

This is what i am going thru and though i love this company bt cant work if my

location changes or role changes. Need yr help and guidance on how do i proceed.

My wife is also tensed and really worried.

pls help.
