I recently started my Ekadashi Vrats beginning last Utpanna! I had got the

sankalpa done by a priest at VishnuPad temple, Gaya, for "Vritti"

i.e. worldly desires like career...

 

However, from the very first Ekadashi, a coincidence is happening. I live alone

in Delhi..and study or worship quitely without any disturbances.. The very

first Ekadashi, I found myself travelling in train and spent my whole day with

my mother & sister, talking... And since then it is rule, that on every

Ekadashi some friend of mine will invariably come to my place from out of

station, simply out of the blue...Last Ekadshi spent like that and again on

Vaikuntha Ekadashi, another friend will be here... It is very unusual...Also

people long forgotten have started calling me on phone, getting my no. somehow,

and especially on Ekadashi...

 

This is what is happening! And because of all this, I hardly pray on Ekadashi!

All I am able to do is keep fast and offer flowers & Tulasi(taken from

previous day) and light lamp & incense! That's all and nothing, no

Sahasranaam, no mantra, nothing!!

 

I'm perplexed what's going..Are these hurdles? Or are they simple fallouts of

my Vrata ? I started Ekadashi as my A10(Rajyapada) is in 2nd house, and thought

that it'll help in bringing career..I'm preparing for Civil Services!

 

Also, I'm amazed that simple fasting can have such sharp and quick effect!

Coming Ekadashi, I've planned to start Lakshmi Narain Hridaya...Not sure if

I'll be able to do!!

 

Guruji, could you give few pearls of wisdom to me ? How should I take

these happenings? Is there anything I should do for my settlement?

Kundali as per the time 8:06 p.m. but a research student of Sri K.N.Rao told me

There is no doubt that the initiation and samkalpa was very well

done. Good priest and you are sincere, hence the results. Kunal keep the

ekadashi vrata and pray that Sri Krishna give you an opportunity to serve

Mother India well. So long as you keep this vrata, everything will start

changing and you will soon see your dreams fulfilled. But remember Vriddhi does

not just mean self aggrandizement. It means *becoming a real karma yogi*.

Strive hard and you will become one ...very soon

when is the next date for Civil Services Examination? Is this

your second attempt?

Respected Rafalji,Pranam!Thank you so much for your help! I don't have knowledge of those aspects, as I'm just a beginner...Still I tried to read on the basis of your indication, and what I could understand is that, Pranapad is used to conclude the time in which baby could breathe! As such my birth time should be anywhere in the 6 seconds interval of 7:52p.m. to 7:57 p.m. ! Is that right ? It places Pranapad Lagna to Leo, which is with Moon in D-60 and with Venus and in trine to Mercury in D-24. After this I'm supposed to use Kunda, and that leaves me with only one option i.e. 7:56p.m. when Kunda lies in Scorpio! So that means, my birth time is 7:56p.m. Am I right ?I really don't know what I'm thinking and writing, it's like rocket science as of now :-/ And pity, I don't have time(now) to make sense of this science, I'm attracted to so much!I again appeal to Guruji to guide me and correct me, as I wrote in my earlier post! Please, correct me regarding stones too...I've observed you strengthening "Artha" for bringing career, and so I wore Coral & Ruby rings in Madhyama. But I also wonder that it is 8th from AL and 12th from 7th house, which effects my current Dasha! So it confuses me if it'll give -ve effect.Regarding Mercury also, I wore Emrald in Kanishthika to activate Venus, as because of conjunction I should be experiencing Venus effect in the ogoing Mercury Dasha. But then, Mercury is ashtamesh & GK? Mercury also is the lord of 10th house in both D-9 & D-10. And debilitated in both! One thing I'm clear that worshipping Dharma Devta is needed here, as Mercury is associated with Dharma Devata. But what about Emrald? Should that be removed?Another thing I would like to ask here! In Navamsha, all Devatas, whether Dharma Devata, or Guru Devata, or Palan Devata, are under direct influence of Ishta Devata. dominant and shall surely push the spiritual path. All others have to fall in

I will not pretend to be as erudite in astrology as Rafalji is, but I am afraid that here Rafalji is outrightly wrong. If I remember it correctly, Sanjayji, either in one of his writings or in his classes, has said (I am paraphrasing him) that in most of the cases, gem for the bhadkesh is not rcommended. I have looked for this principle and found it to be very correct. I will give you a latest example that I came across:

In this case, with Taurus lagna and Tula rashi, Saturn the lord of ninth and tenth house is placed in 11th house. However, it is also bhadkesh. In its Mahadasha, Saturn gave the results of bhadkesh instead of any rajyoga. Furthermore, whenever he was prescribed Blue Sapphire, all significations of 10th house were severely impacted within 24 hours.

The native's details are:

Place of Birth: 77 E 16' 00", 29 N 06' 00"

Similarly for Venus in own sign in sixth/eighth we advise Yellow Sapphire to exalted Venus, and make Pisces more prominent".So I think I understood you correctly. In that case, please hint me if I went right in my mail regarding stones.Also, I read Rafalji that Badhakesha's stone can be worn if unafflicted. Here, Moon is Badhakesh, in 8th house and aspected by Saturn. So gemstone should be avoided? But, it is not only 9th lord, but also my AK in a Moksha Bhava, and Sa, aspecting it, denotes my Ishta! So how should I take it? As an affliction? Or as Ishta's grace on Atma? If it is the second case, wearing

and aspects AmK Sun by Graha Drishti, so strengthening Sun should assist Maa i.e. Sa(my Ishat/Palan Devata) in bringing career! As Sun lords an Arth Bhava, and is placed in an Arth Bhava, Ruby should be worn in Madhyama.
