Guest guest
OM SHRI LAKSHMI NARASIMHAAYA NAMAHDear Chi.Venkatesh,The method of Yogi,Ava Yogi and Saha Yogi has been developed by Sri Sheshadri Iyer.He wrote articles regarding this in 1962 Astrological Magazine. Let me brief about this wonderful techique. We know that there are 27 Yogas which starts from Vishkambha Yoga and ends with Vaidhriti Yoga. From this Yoga only Yogi planet is calculated which will be used in material advancement and Ava Yogi for material decrease and monetary difficulties. a Tithi means reduction and Yoga means addition. Now to calculate Yogi planet add the longitudes of Surya and Chandra and then add 93 Degs.20'.93 Degs.20' is Pushya Nakshatra ruled by Brihaspathi. This is the most Auspicious Nakshatra of all 27 Nakshatras where Guru gets exalted. So the 1st Yoga Vishkambha is 93 Degs.20'.Now the Lord of this sign becomes Saha Yogi. Ava Yogi is 6 Nakshatras ahead of Yogi Nakshatra with same Longitude. Now for Vishakambha Yoga,Pushyami namakshatra becomes Yoga point,so Yogi Nakshatra is Shani, now 6 Nakashatras ahead of Pushyami is Hasta whose ruler is Chandra. So if Shani is Yogi, then Chandra becomes Ava Yogi. Here is the list of Yogi and Ava Yogi Planets : YOGI SURYA CHANDRA KUJA BUDHA GURU SHUKRA SHANI RAHU KETHU AVA YOGI SHANI BUDHA KETHU KUJA SURYA GURU CHANDRA SHUKRA RAHU Now as an example, let us have Surya has a longitude of 359 Degs.33' and Chandra has a longitude of 21 Degs.38', we get Yogi longitude of Karka 24 Degs.32' which is in the Nakshatra of Ashlesha ruled by Budha. So Budha becomes Yogi and 6 Nakshatras ahead of Ashlesha, ie., Chitra whose ruler Kuja becomes Ava Yogi and Karka Lord Chandra becomes Saha Yogi. Now for example, Budha ,the Yogi planet is placed in Meena Rashi in Revathi Nakashatra ruled by Budha and Surya is also placed in Meena Rashi in Revathi Nakahstra whose ruler is again Budha, the Yogi planet. So Budha eventhough is in debilitation, as he is Yogi planet he will give auspicious results along with Surya also.if Lagna Nakshatra is also a Yogi nakshatra, then the native will get auspicious results throughout his/her life. But now there is another theory profounded by Sri Iyer which is about Dagdha rashis or Zero Rashis,Positive Rashis, Negative Rashis, Positive Bhavas and Negative Bhavas. So depending on the planets placed in above rashis/ Bhavas, the results get modified. Let me brief about this theory in another mail. With Shri Hari Vayu Guru Naama Smarana, Ramadas Rao.On Sat, Jan 2, 2010 at 5:05 PM, Venkatesh <ksvssvk wrote: JAI SRIRAMDear Jyotisa,What is called as Yogi,Shga yogi and Ava yogi in the chart and its importance?
