Guest guest
Dear Sanjayji and Rafalji, Sanjayji, after much pondering, your answers do reveal the truth, but I am afraid after reading the posts of so many people that this Arudha concept, in my very humble opinion, is too frequently misunderstood. May I tell you what I have understood (after some years of reading the posts of all the gurus on this group) - please tell me if I am wrong - it is certainly hard to grasp the concept. In my opinion, Arudha is *NOT* simply the " perceptions of people " . Because if you say that that is what it is, everyone simply ends up thinking " hey, I'm not really like that, it's all these weird people who *think* I'm like that, but I'm just totally different and totally misjudged " . And then, they all jump on the bandwagon to figure out *how to correct everyone's misperceptions, and not change at all themselves*. This, in my humble opinion again, is totally the wrong comprehension of the concept. Here is my considered opinion: A person is like a lake - at the bottom of the lake there are lots of plants growing - symbolizing the person's nature, but no one looking at the lake can see anything, EXCEPT all those plants which made it all the way to the surface. The person, since he knows himself can see inside the lake too, so he knows himself *completely*. The rest of the world can only see the surface, so they only see the biggest plants that have actually made it all the way to the top. The plants that made it to the top are not *illusions*, they are as real as everything else including the plants below the surface. If Arudha were all people's misperceptions then 11 from AL wouldnt be real material gains, would they? Consequently, when some Arudha is *not right*, it is *you*, (the person) who has to change to strengthen more of your " positive " reality - bring those plants to the surface, or weaken some of your " negative* reality so that it doesnt manifest. The world is simply an unbiased external observer, that's *all*. This is why, in my humble opinion, when we do upapada matching we match upapada of the person to the Lagna of the spouse. Upapada is the *strongest* requirements of *yours* that have popped out into full external view and *need*. They must be matched by the complete nature of the person you are going to marry, because marriage is the closest relationship of your life.. The above is what I think. I am not a guru, please wait for some guru to approve/disapprove before you accept what I say.. Guest guest
Dear Sanjay ji and all Thanks for the great discussion.I understood what has been discussed so nicely. So do you mean to say we have to peel these layers ( mentioned by Sanjay-ji) by praying to appropriate planets & dieties to change the misconception of the external world? Can a uniformed policeman's appearance change to a Saint? Modhini ---------------------- " We are layers of self-efinitions, about 16 at least and each layer has its arudha, and is made of different material. It is like having 16 layer blanket where each layer is of different material called Lagna and the design on the layer is the arudha. Guest guest
om gurave namah Dear Modini My answer to all your questions is YES. Have you heard of a top IPS officer (Police Service for those not from India) turning into one of the greatest bhakta of Shirdi Sai Baba? Pyramids ...thats what he started with. He has gone a long way and is regarded as a saint in Delhi. This mybe just one case as compared to tens of thousands of police people, but then it proves the point. Also I do know of quite a few police officers who are very good people, or some who are very good astrologers. The scales of change differ and also the pace. It depends on what changes we are ready to accept, how much we let go. Guest guest
Respected Modhini ji,I'm a kid on the block, but reading your innocent words compel me to pen few words...You ask if policemen can change their appearance!?! Actually we are all wearing different uniforms! Guruji told us about 16 layers! We can understand this by taking the example of an onion! We are all like onions and we are each having atleast 16 uniforms i.e. 16 layers! The inner most bulb is the vishudhha Chaitanya Atma which is Naked, without any uniform! But we have covered ourselves with so many uniforms! At one level you are a policeman, a politician, a thief,or a saint.... while at some, a father, a husband, a son; at one level a man with PRINCIPLES and several identities to carry like caste, class etc. while at another level an Indian; at some level, a human being while at another level, a creation of God glittering amidst all his creations! And then you are the Bulb of the onion, A CREATION as well as THE CREATOR! It is not just about the misconception of the world! It is finally about our own misconception of ourselves! We don't need to change appearance/uniform! We need to shed all! And we have the eyes of Vedas, Jyotish to show us the Light! The concept of Arudha is an effort towards that! We may take its help in understanding and effecting our public image or our self perception and hence self awareness, or the highest ideal of shedding all the uniforms!Your sincerely,Kunal Nath.
