Guest guest
Dear Group members, Vimsottari dasa is an universal dasa and should be used in all cases. At least I have no doubt about it thus far. Bphs , Laghu and Madya Parasari deals this dasa in exhastive manner. BPHS deals this dasa in Sixteen(16) separate chapters. These chapter teaches us how to apply this dasa in different nativities. The zodiac is divided in 27 Nakshatra of equal duration, on account of the fact that Moon takes round of the earth in about 27 days . As such all Nakshatra dasa should be applied based on the position of Moon in nativity. Some prominent and distinguished authorities suggested some alternative points to commence Vimsottari dasa as well as BPHS itself suggest many other conditional dasas , BUT ALL THESE DASAS ARE NOT IN REPLACEMENT OF THE BASIC VIMSOTTARI DASA BUT ONLY TO GIVE ASSISTANCE IN DELINEATING THE RESULTS OF MAIN DASA. Whenever this dasa id applied , the following factors should be kept in view: !. The functional nature of planet ( which depends on owner ship of planets). This is specific to a nativity 2. The placement of planets, (in bhava, signs and mutual configuration) 3. Planetary strength – Shadbala (indicative of the strength of planet), Vimsopaka strength (indicator of auspiciousness of planet on a scale of 20) and Astakvarga which indicate mutual support which planet gets from other planets. And then basis for prediction will depend on following three factors: 1. Yogas in Nativity- These indicate the Accumulated store of fate on account of past Karma 2. Operation of dasa and antardasas-this indicate the direction i.e. which portion of fate will be active on a given point of time in the life. 3. Transits- This indicated the freewill as well as assistance provided by God and natural forces enabling to make best use of a given situation. Astottari is a very versatile dasa system, but Laghu Parasari clearly says that rules of Vimsottari is not applicable to this dasa system.Similarly , Shastihaayani dasa system is On similar basis as astottari dasa.As there are 8(eight) charkarka , these dasa do not have the dasa of Ketu. These dasas are constructed based on ‘SARBOTOBHADRA CHAKRA’.If dasa predictions are made along with the indications in this chakra , the results will be excellent. Vimsottari and other nakshatra dasas indicate the enjoyment and suffering which native had to under go on account of various happening which occur in the life ; where as last two dasa’s indicate good or bad events occur in the life of native but how he takes it ,do not come in the domain of these dasas .
