Extremely high subsidies are unbalancing the economy. What the government doing now is to bring about a timely correction. The poorest of the poor are the beggars in the streets and the farm laborers or the waiters in the dhaba (roadside tea stalls). The real subsidy should be directed to them. We are consuming indiscriminately because we think something is cheap. The subsidy can and should go to other sectors, if at all.

Result - 26 Feb 2010 to 27 Apr 2010 the Gov will bring forth many changes. These are in the budget and all the action that follows this budget. Its good for a healthy economy, so let us accept it with joy.

Problem with Indian politics is that everyone makes statements based on traditional roles of gov and opposition ...that’s sad. things are changing now and we have people like Mr. Jaitley and others in the opposition benches who have a strong and clear opinion on things good for India rather than what is politically convenient to say. I think India does have a great future
