Guest guest
om namo bhagavate paramguraveDear LakshmiI have read about the original design on may skyscraper blogs. The current temple design is a variation from the original concept which was more traditional and on a much larger scale. It seems that the current concept is just as beautiful. I think the huge capital cost and the time it would have taken for completion would have presented many challenges. This temple is quite significant for India as if the original Vastu brief in design have been considered, its location in the North East sector of India can only bode well for the region as a whole. For anyone interested in understanding some basic principles of Vastu and Temple Design, here is the original concept design with illustrations which have simply no words to describe. This concept would have towered to almost the height of the Pyramids. http://indianskyscraperblog.wordpress.com/2007/07/13/the-temple-of-vedic-planetarium-mayapur-india-the-worlds-tallest-hindu-temple-35-storeys-part-1/ The site co-ordinates for anyone interested is 23°25'24.21 " N, 88°23'22.69 " EIf anyone has more information on this project please post it to me privately. Im particularly interested in site plans, illustrations or architectural drawings. Also, does anyone know what time was elected for the foundation ceremony.
