IN case I ramble below, the point/answer is- malefics because of their nature and character,even if they give good results in some areas, they cant help but harm, cause problems along the way. First, if the AK is Mars it means the person has a life that tends to deal with all sorts of 'Mars' related issues. How , when and where to express/channel ones ambition, anger, energy, passion and such things.If someone is extremely ambitious there are sure to be others around that person who have been stepped on or taken advantage of. Mars is karaka for many things. and the Lagna rising makes a big difference of course. Mars by nature tends to react or act spontaniously/impulsively often giving bad results, when Mars is exalted in Capricorn energy of Saturn helps the energy be directed in a specific direction.Saturn moves slowly,capricorn can give direction and follow through on actions. But , What is good for one person-isnt productive for another. First depends on whether man or women their ashram, varna,etc. A housewife, or a self defence expert, or a contractor,a surgeon, or an engineer or an alcoholic military man. So put that Mars in context and you can understand. If the lagna is fire signs and it is a person who needs Mars for his field of work then that Mars being malefic will give some confrontations, injuries,etc but will also give successes. If the Mars is strong , throughout the vargas, well it only shows the power/KARMA and Mars related Dharma that person is bringing with them. What and where is that exalted Mars aspecting? How do think exalted Mars in lagna, 5th or 9th houses with no , or malefic influence or associations?How that exalted mars going to fit in the 4th house? A figther isnt glorious unless he fights and wins, what is a soldier without a gun or an enemy or a land to protect? Ever hear , 'he who lives by the sword dies by the sword'. Friend of Jupiter/Mars? Mars who is exalted in capricorn and it is Jupiter who is debilitated and cant function to his best in capricorn. Mars is the soldier, and Jupiter is the priest/brahmin advisor. Mars is fiery and hot, Jupiter expands, (but not in a good way in capricorn).
