If necessary you can slightly punch the wood along the contours of the snake and then gently hammer the snake in. Since the sandal wood is soft, the snake would get fixed into it. If necessary, after the snaked in hammered in, you can apply a little glue so that it stays fixed. [ 3 ] Yes you can.
