Once she is a year old the Arishtha will be gone. Therefore : [a] Offer at any temple wheat grain equal to her weight, once. keep the wheat under her cot for the night before offering it at the temple. make the child touch the wheat grain before offering. Keep in the west direction of her room a little mustard oil in an iron dibbi. make the child touch the dibbi before keeping it. [c]Either on a Tuesday or a Saturday ,go to the Hanuman temple. Bring home a little sindoor in a silver or brass or copper dibbi from the right arm of Hanuman idol. Apply a tilak of this sindoor , between the eye brows, every day. Do it for 43 days at least.
