The astro-books for it say that, " The effects attributed to astama sani are: loss of wealth, ill health, disgrace, accidents, problems related to wife, miserable life, gambling and indulgence in other vices. Separation from wife and children, travel on foot in a pitiable condition. Financial problems and the non availability of resources when you desperately want. Do not count on others' help. Chronic health problems will also be there. All your actions are criticized and it is better to keep low profile. Should not start new ventures, should not open up branches and such expansion plans should be kept aside. Troubles through relatives are also expected. You should be prepared for humiliation and displeasure of the higher officers and government. " But I do not expect even 25% of what has been said above to come true because [a] your natal moon is in Aquarius and because the moon will be in the 11th house [from lagna] in your kundali during transit which again is Aquarius in the Kal Purush kundali. I was really worried because I had heard a lot about Ashtam Shani. Do you think steel utensil will serve the purpose, it does not have to be iron pot or utenil? Besides, I forgot to tell you that my son Sameer's Moon is also in Kumbh Raashi, so I think he should also be running Ashtam Shani. I will be grateful if you can tell me about him also. Since his moon is in Kumbha rasi I do not expect much adverse effects. Since the saturn will transit over his 6th house from Lagna, it might cause some health problems. Therefore once a year till August 2012 he should: [a] Bury deep in the mud under the water , in a river or pond , a little mustard oil filled in an earthen pot. Cement the lid so that the oil doesn’t spill out into the water. Bury the pot at such a place where it stays under water the whole year round. Do not bring back home the digging tool. Do the same upaya which are suggested for your Shani dhayya. [2] In case you can get iron utensils [ like tawa, cheemta etc ] all the better, but if you can't get them then steel utensil would be as good.
