You have mentioned sun+mercury in the 8th. All the kundalis that I have, generated by different vedic softwares show Sun Rahu and Venus in the 8th, and saturn and mercury in the 9th?? I also did a pooja advised, during the eclipse in July, for the same. Please help me understand this. Also, please let me know whether I should continue doing the recitations for venus and the durga shapt shati even after my situation changes? According to the corrected horoscope you should do the following upaya: [1]Get an iron lock. Place this lock , packed as it came from the market, at any cross roads { chauraha } after dark on any Saturday. To be done once. In the shop all locks are sold in the locked position. Do not open the lock, not even to examine whether it is working or not. Just buy it as it is in the packet. Even do not let the shopkeeper open it for you. [2]Offer water to the Sun God every day along with a red flower for 100 days at least. Add a little milk and sugar to the water before offering. [3]Recite the stotra for Mars as many times a day as you can every day. Get the text and the audio from the files. You can listen to Navgrah stotra in order to be able to pronounce it better. There is a PDF file containing the stotra in Hindi script also. [4] Offer at any temple 9 mushrooms in an earthen pot. [5] Keep on a duchhatti [ an area high above the ground and below the ceiling] a little mustard oil in an iron dibbi. [6] At least once a week, feed green leaves/green fodder to a cow. [7] Yes, you need to do the copper coin burning upaya because of sun and Rahu in your 8th house. [8] Recite the following siddha mantra from Durga Sapt shati as many times a day as you can every day according to the instructions given. aarogya aur saubhaagya praapti ke liye [ to achieve good health & good fortune ] dehi saubhaagyamaarogyaM dehi me paramaM sukham.h | rupaM dehi yasho jayaM dehi yasho dehi dviSho jahi || Go to the group files and read this mantra in Hindi script from the Durga Sapt Shati siddha mantra file.
