In Michelles the planet which should be the significator aspects House A so as far as I know must be eliminated - that is it cannot be used as the planet whose sub-period indicates the marriage - yet it does. In my wifes chart the significator Mars again aspects House A - I believe however (from earlier correspondence with Krushna) that as Mars is also the lord of the 4th which encourages marriage then it can be used. Are there any other exceptions??. Below are the birth details of both the above charts. 1) Michelle DOB 10th June 1960 Time 4.35am (From Both Parents) Zone GMT Daylight savings 1 hour Place Manchester UK 2W15 53N30 Lagna 23 Taurus 18 Ayanamsa 22:16:32 Krushna also did the ayanamsa and got 22:16:33 but he did not allow for Daylight Savings. Total Bindu Points (Row 17) Ma - 24 Aspects B Ju - 22 Aspects A Me - 21 Sa - 17 Aspects A Ve - 17 Aspects B Su - 15 Aspects B Mo - 7 Aspects A For the above chart in row 10b I showed the Sun aspecting B. In row 11b it indicated correctly 5points for the Sun but in row 12b the -5 points did not come up. Is this an err4or in the chart Visti. For example if Venus is <3 or >43 degrees from the Sun and particularly if it is aspected by Saturn it becomes a malefic for marriage - but it does not prevent it's use for the sub period. As I said if you read it the planet which I mentioned which aspects house A and should be eliminated ( or as you say substituted by sabdarhmi) was in fact the planet in whose sub- period the marriage took place. In other words sandarhmi is no good as a substitute planet was not required If I remember Saturn aspected house A and her marriage took place in the Saturn sub-period. So what I,,m asking is there a rule which can allow this to happen. I know that if the planet is the ruler of the 4th then site of a significator house can be ignored. When you said that I had forgotten Sandahrmi planets I thought that you were relating to a sandahrmi for Saturn which was the one thing I did'nt want. On further thought I realised that you could be referring to the fact that Saturn could be used as a Sandahrmi planet for Jupiter, which is exactly what I was looking for I think. There are two questions though about which I am not sure 1) When discussing Sandahrmi planets rule 1 says " When two planets are in the same sign, and the same constellation they are said to be of the same nature " I thought that " signs were the constellations " . In other words if a planet is in the same sign it MUST be in the same constellation. ( It is noted that the constellations are not the same as the signs used for western astrology) perhaps this is what the rule refers to. 2) Cab a planet act as a Sandahrmi planet if it also aspects a significator house ? If the answer to both those question is " Yes " then you are correct and Saturn would be Sandahrmi to Jupiter in Michelle's chart. I am not sure how to go from here as the actual date is 1st March 1980 which is a Saturn/Rahu combination. My appologies Visti - itlooks as if you were right and I was wrong. Guest guest Posted September 25, 2000 Report Share Posted September 25, 2000 Visti, Yes I am familiar with Nakshatras although not very familiar and it was because I was not sure whether he was refering to Nakshatras or constellations used in the zodiac (ie signs) that I asked my question. If in fact he does mean nakshatras then it puts a very different complex on the problem. In Michelle's chart the point scores go Mars 24 in Aries aspects house B Ju 22 in Sag aspects A Me 21 in Gemini Sa 17 in Sag aspects A Ve 17 in Taurus Asc aspects B Su 15 in Taurus aspects B Mo 7 in Sag aspects A But I know that she got married in the sub-period of Sa - if it was just the same sign then Sa could be sandahrmi to Ju and it woud work but Ju is in Uttara Bhadrapada while Sa is in Revati so if we use nakshatras I cannot make it work. There is one other possibility but I am not sure if this is applicable Me is the only planet with high points that is not (as far as I know) disqualified but it is in House A. Me is the ruler of Revati where Sa is placed so perhaps there is some rule which covers that. Even then it would be hard to pick it up instead of just saying it should be the sub-period of Me which incidently is of course the sub-period imediately following that of Sa and misses the actual date by 3 months or more. I tried to use the tool that is posted here to fing the Krushna ayahnamsha and came up with 22°26'06 " where as you came up with 0°0'20 " . I also used the Shri Jyoti Star software, it has options for using diferent ayahnamsha; for example--Rosicru Ephem, Lahiri, BV Raman, Sri Yukteswar, KP Varahamihir, KP New, JN Bhasin, Lahari/Newcomb, and Fagan Bradly but non of this ayahnamsha really change the planet locations in my chart. I am just a novise student but all this confused me. My Me/Sa ( using Lahiri) was going great since 1999--got married had 3 promotions and bought house. But trouble started from March 2001 (Me/Sa/Ma dasa using lahiri) and finally lost my Job on August 2001 (Me/Sa/Ra using Lahiri)and till without job. I was thinking the sub/sub causing me problem since Sa should not do that bad for me. Please explain how you explain this using Krushna ayahnamsha. Yes, I used Krushna's ayanamsa but then your ascendent falls in the first seconds of Virgo. So I did your chart with Virgo ascendent. When using this ayanamsha your Moon is at 7°27 Pisces and you are born in Saturn/Ketu. Actually, and according to this starting point,(degree of the Moon) you are now in Ketu/Venus. Venus as lord of the 2nd create the problems. As to your marriage date. You married on 3th of july 1999. This was Mercury/Saturn. Lord A is Venus. Venus is in Mercury navamsha so you can marry in Mercury dasha. There is delay in marriage because Saturn aspects house A [dmlettens] and the lords of B and C. So it's normal that you married at age 28/29. As to the sub or bukti Planets most eager to give results are lords of D and E, so Jupiter and Sun. I think the Sun was the one who should give marriage. But last sun bukhti was in 1989 and next is in 2002. As it is indicated that you should marry around 28/29,a samdharmi can come foreward to give the results. This is Saturn because Sun is in Pushya (saturn constellation). You married when Sun transited Mercury/Rahu Mercury is mainlord and in C. Rahu is Saturn who is very strong in your chart. Whether you use Lahiri ayanamsha, which would give you a Leo ascendant, or you use Krushnaji's ayanamsha, which would give you Virgo ascendant, there are two notable points in your horoscope. The first is that Saturn would be your 6th lord in both cases. The 2nd is that Saturn becomes extremely powerful because it controls Sun, Mars, and Mercury in both these ascendants. Saturn is also natural samdharmi to Venus and as these are in 5:9 relation in the chart, there is nothing preventing Venus acting as samdharmi to Saturn, the 6th lord. 12th house placements are not considered bad in this system. However, 6th lord association and strength brings strife and problems. On the positive side, the points for DBCE for your first and 4th houses are in increasing order. This means that quality of life in general would improve over time and you need not worry too much about housing. You are currently in the sub of Venus. Venus is not only samdharmi to the 6th lord but it is also the 2nd lord. So worries in its dasha are inevitable. Your next sub starts in March 2000. It is that of Sun and it should improve things. Sub of Moon starting in August 2002 should be even better jobwise. I am afraid neither the sub of Sun nor Moon would give you a job which you consider according to your ability. That would start coming from March 2003 when the periods of planets stronger for the 10th house start. You seem to be in an area perfectly suited to your inclinations. In D-3, D-9, and D-30, you have lagna Sun or Moon in the sign of Mercury in 5 divisions. This should give you strong worldly knowledge and expertise in communication or software related matters. Finally, please keep in mind that you are largely governed by Saturn in your life. Saturn, being the strongest planet, will be influential in every affair in your life. However, being 6th lord, it should keep your life interesting, to say the least. A caveat - I am only an amateur astrologer so please get this verified by more experienced astrologers before you start basing any decisions on this. My questions: When I will get a job, will it be at least at the same level I was at, will I ever achieve very high position in my life? In this chart, Saturn is very strong and has the maximum points for all houses except the 4th where Me is slightly stronger. However, Saturn is also the 6th lord and the 12th from B for marriage. Yet he got married in the sub of Saturn. Can we draw a general conclusion that if the 6th lord is very strong, he gives benefic results? Or can we draw another conclusion that the strong 6th lord will not give bad results itself but its samdharmi would give the bad results? Yes, I used Krushna's ayanamsa but then your ascendent falls in the first seconds of Virgo. So I did your chart with Virgo ascendent. When using this ayanamsha your Moon is at 7°27 Pisces and you are born in Saturn/Ketu. Actually, and according to this starting point,(degree of the Moon) you are now in Ketu/Venus. Venus as lord of the 2nd create the problems. As to your marriage date. You married on 3th of july 1999. This was Mercury/Saturn. Lord A is Venus. Venus is in Mercury navamsha so you can marry in Mercury dasha. There is delay in marriage because Saturn aspects house A [dmlettens] and the lords of B and C. So it's normal that you married at age 28/29. As to the sub or bukti Planets most eager to give results are lords of D and E, so Jupiter and Sun. I think the Sun was the one who should give marriage. But last sun bukhti was in 1989 and next is in 2002. As it is indicated that you should marry around 28/29,a samdharmi can come foreward to give the results. This is Saturn because Sun is in Pushya (saturn constellation). You married when Sun transited Mercury/Rahu Mercury is mainlord and in C. Rahu is Saturn who is very strong in your chart. So this could be an explanation. As to the job. Venus brings worries as lord of the 2nd. From the 12th he aspects the 6th house of job, so he cannot be favourable for job. Venus has also low points for the 1st, which is house A for the 6th. Next subs are Sun and Moon. They have good points (worksheet) for the 6th but not for the 10th. So I suppose you will get a job in Sun bukhi but will not be happy with it (no recognition)because Sun has low points for the 10th and so has Moon. Coming to Mars, he is better but is not good for the 1st, so there could be stress. From Rahu sub on things will be much better for job Well take it for what it's worth. Wait and see !!
