But that would be too short sighted. For example Sun with Mars would give a medical/surgical/healing profession or Sun with Merc/Venus would give a strong commercial/financial profession etc., Sun as lagna lord in 10th essentially means the native will invest a lot of his energy into his profession - deeply interested in growing and profiting from his work. From what I believe - Bhava Karaka for 10H is Mercury. It doesnt have anything to say about kind of job. 5. 10H from Moon shows support we get, lord or bhava afflicted is very bad for career matters. 6. Navamsa and Dasamsa are crucial to define more succesful/lucrative job along with situation and opportunities. 7. Medical profession comes from Moon. Mangal and Budha are needed for surgery. 8.
