Ishta deva is seen by examining 12H from Karakaamsa (placement of AK in Navamsa). Ishta deva worship ensures all other mantras and remedies work and its essential for purification and correcting the doshas in chart where AK provides the problem in life. Ishta deva is one step towards the selfactualization as the atma being purified is getting free from nija dosha and shad ripu. Ishta deva concept is seen in every spiritual tradition and to know one's ishta is great fortune as the spiritual sadhana has the protection and correct path. In Navamsa the 12th house from the placement of Ve is Leo which is also my Asc as well as Moon rasi. So could you please tell me who is my Ishta Devatha? Will this be the God who rules the sign Leo i.e Sun? Skanda/Hanuman/Rudra/Narasimha deva is your ishta. As this yoga is in 6 from AmK it can be also Bagala. From 2013 spirituality will become very important. You have mentioned " 2013 " , Is it because my Rahu dasa will be commencing at that time and also Rahu being present in my moskha sthana? As far as I know, I have always been spiritual and God fearing. Will this get intense? Could you also please explain if plantary tranits have any influence on which deity you worship or be willing to worship at a specific time? i.e you may feel a special attraction/devotion to a particular god at different stages in life not by someone telling you to worship to get some gain but by some inner feeling. I have felt that personally. Not sure why. Hope I am disturbing you with too many questions. I find this forum as best means of clarifying my doubts regarding both Astrology and Spirituality which I believe are very much interconnected. Yes, shaktis from Deities is also based on Niryana. Deities you like to worship are in kona to Navamsa and Vimsamsa Varga.
