Re: JH73 and 7or8 charakaras

Namaste,

I am cc'ing it to other Jyotish lists because there is a useful point below on

22nd drekkana.

Q1: When two planets are in the same degree, one planet misses out on a cabinet

portfolio and that portfolio goes to the corresponding sthira karaka. That

sthira karaka may have another portfolio already. That is why you may sometimes

see AmK becoming PK also, etc.

Q2: Antardasa calculation in Karaka dasa was not mentioned by Parasara. I

experimented 4 possibilities and found this working well. This is an

experimental deduction and could be wrong. But mahadasas were clearly defined by

Parasara.

Q3: I don't use 22nd drekkana that much. But, in my limited experience, 22nd

drekkana based on the Jagannatha drekkana chart seems to be the best to see

suffering and death. Actually, I suggest taking the 22nd Jagannatha drekkana

from lagna as well as from *Moon*. Though JHora does not give from Moon, it is

easy to calculate manually. Actually, you can also select " Edit " in main menu,

then " user defined special point " and define a special point that is 210 deg

ahead of Moon. See the position of that special point in D-3 (Jagannatha). That

way, you can find the 22nd Jagannatha drekkana lord from Moon.

For example, Indira Gandhi's 22nd Jagannatha drekkana from Moon is in Aries. She

died in Mars-Mars dasa as per dwisaptati sama dasa. JFKennedy's 22nd Jagannatha

drekkana from Moon is in Sagittarius. He died in Jupiter mahadasa as per

vimsottari dasa and Jupiter antardasa as per sataabdika dasa. Like this, 22nd

Jagannatha drekkana from Moon seems to be significant just as the one from

lagna. Ronald Reagan's 22nd Jagannatha drekkana from Moon is in Leo. He died in

the antardasa of Sun.

Though my experience with this has been limited, the correlations I found in

limited studies seemed signifcant enough to me. I actually found the 22nd

Jagannatha drekkana lord from Moon to be more useful than that from lagna.

Q4: Actually, I recommend Modified Lahiri with Chitra fixed at 180 deg AND using

the fixed Vishnunabhi plane. Unfortunately, as I mentioned on JHora list

earlier, I messed it up and introduced a bug when finalizing the user interface

in the software. I will fix it soon. This time, I will first release the update

on jhora and release it publicly after some initial testing by jhora

members.

Best regards,

Narasimha

Re: Re: JH73 and 7or8 charakaras

Dear Narasimha,

Thank you for JH73, the best Christmas gift, indeed!

Are you sure you are from this world, Narasimha? I've never met anybody

like yourself in my entire /long/ life.

I have a problem understanding the logic behind Parashara's charakaraka

sheme applied in JH73. In most cases when 7 karakas are applicable, MK and PK

are represented in one planet. That I understand.

-However I came across some charts where one planet stands for both AmK

and PK, or AK and PK- I am not getting this, please clarify.

- This consistently appears in KarakaDasa, as well, where One planet

presents one karaka on Maha Dasa level /AmK/, and the same planet appears in

AntarD. as PK! ETC...

I wish I knew why that happens, which criteria have been applied.

-I am just curious to learn the process, how you figured out antard.

calculation method.

-One more Q, please! Re 22nd and 64th drekkana. The later is clear.

But with 22nd d. we have 3 options- which one do you use?

If more than one, how do you decide 'when'-'which'

-And, your ayanamsa choice is Modified Lahiri /Chitra at 180/, right?

Thank you Narasimha.

Happy Holidays to you, Padmaja, children, Family,

may health and joy follow you where you go.

Respectfully,

Anna
