Pl explain diff between hindu signs and wester signs vs planets

Dear sir,

 

As per hindu calender Sun entered Sagittarius on 15th DEc 08 where as

as per western calender the Sun leaves fiery Sagittarius and enters

earthy Capricorn on December 21. which is correct? I am a lay man in

astrology and little bit confused. i request learned astrogers to

clarify this.

Read about Ayanamsha in internet. It's due to Ayanamsha subtraction you get

different dates.
