Guest guest
Dear Milind, Remember one thing, there is no short cut to Jyotish. It's a vast subject, perhaps like a ocean. However, perusing following books may enable a beginner to understand it well. 1) Elements of Vedic Astrology (two vols) by Dr. K.S. Charaka 2) Vedic Astrology: an integrated approach by P.V.R. Narasimharao 3) How to Judge a Horoscope (two vols) by B.V. Raman Start with Dr. Charaka's book. It is in simple language and systemic (like a science text-book), and gives you a strong foundation. Then peruse Narasimharao's title that covers all building blocks and fundamental techniques with example. While Raman's " how to " provides art of reading chart. Well, there are hundred of thousands of books, on general and specific topics of Jyotish. But in my humble opinion, mentioned above three titles are best available starter for a novice. After going through these suggested readings you should also consider Jyotish classic " Phaladeepaka " which has been a text books from medieval era to date. With Regard, M.
