JHora is a great software BUT Either I am flawed or JHora needs minor correction

Respected Sanjay Rathji, PVRji, Pathiji (pathiav) and all other

Learned Members,

 

JHora is a great software. Kudos to PVRji for writing it.

 

But please clarify my doubts regarding JHora. If I am wrong in my

understanding, I will correct myself as I am stil learning.

 

Using example birth details:

05/05/1970, Chennai,India, 17:38

 

1) The position of Mercury is calculated wrong. It says 8th house.

All other software say Mer occupies 7th house. Please let me know

which is right.

 

2) It says Mars is a MahaYogada. But this cannot be as Mars placed

in Taurus does not aspect the chara rasi that is next to it ie.

Aries. For the above birth details, Hora Lagna is in Aries.

 

3) It lists many yogas taking into consideration that Mercury is in

7th house. This is a big discrepancy refering to point 1).

 

4) As per Parashara, planets in Dushtanas do not take part in any

yogas. Am I right in this? Hence no yogas with the planets placed

in 8th house(using example birth details) mst be listed by the

software.

 

Please correct me if I am wrong. If not, JHora needs corection.

 

The intent is not to point mistakes, but to learn.
