In astrology there are various method follows- like Vedic (indian)

and Western. In vedic, the Sun's appatent rotation (actually which

is earth's rotation round sun )is in respect to a fixed star i.e.

one rotation is complete only when the sun comes back to the same

position in relation to a fixed star and know as Nirayana System (

without ayana i.e. without angle)hence period of Signs (rashis) keep

chaning. While western astrology the Signs period if fixed, say

People born between Dec 21 to Jan 19 are Capricorns and between Sep

22 to Oct 22 are Libras. They do not adjust for Ayana ( ayanamsha

Correction) which is the reason for your predicament.

Moreover in Vedic astrology, the most important is your Lagna than

Moon and Sun. It is not just based on your sun sign.
