Guest guest
Hello Everyone, I like to look as the birthday as the start of a new year rather than the actual turning of a new itself. With that said, is there anyone that would kindly look at my chart? I'm mainly interested in what lies ahead in the next five years for me. I'm a writer working on my first sci-fi book so I'm very determined and ambitious at the moment. Also, I've been learning about this 2012 stuff. Is there anything to it? Birthdate: January 11, 1973 Lakenheath, England 5:25 AM The United States is where I live now though. Thank you all so very much for any insight you may have! Guest guest
Dear Ree in NY, Many happy returns of this very special day! You are very right in your designation of your birthday as the new year for you. Like in everything else in Jyotish, there are variant opinions too, a fairly large segment particularly in South India treats their lunar birthday as the true birthday. The period of gestation being so tied to the lunar cycles -- the practice does make good sense! I first learned about it when I read Dr. KN Saraswathy's translation (with sanskrit slokas given as well!) of Brihajjatakam. Truly, South India has done a lot for Jyotish through their characteristic thoroughness and attention to details. Little wonder that even today, you find more interest and dedication towards jyotish predominantly from individuals of South Indian origin. You sound like a very creating young person with a great project in the offing. You are obviously referring to the Mayan Calendar coming to an end in 2012 December. If you do a bit of research you will find that the exact date is held in some question! So what's new? I personally do not think that the world would come to an end, come 2012. I do sense that the world as we have conceptually known, were conditioned to and took for granted WILL come to an end! But, then, hasn't it already...? :-) Rohiniranjan vedic astrology , " nyree " <n8m8 wrote: > > Hello Everyone, > > I like to look as the birthday as the start of a new year rather than > the actual turning of a new itself. Guest guest
Dear Rohiniranjan, I just wanted to say thank you for your reply. You are right. Shifts happen gradually. If you think about where we were ten years ago, it would seem almost like primitive times! It's amazing to me how many people walk around like zombies...not even noticing the changes. Oh well. ; ) If there's anything significant you see in my chart, I would love to know about it. :-) Thanks so much again, Nyree January 11, 1973 Lakenheath, England 5:25 AM vedic astrology , " Rohiniranjan " <jyotish_vani wrote: > > Hmmm... > Looks like I have struck Gold! > All I was looking for was black gold!
