Help required for future life-why coordinates

May I know the purpose of presenting coordinates to your place of birth instead

of the name of the place....in the high seas / in the air or unnamed kaarunyaa

?....thanks to GPS / Blackberry !

The place of birth is Shimoga in karnataka.

As latitude and long are the inputs to cast a horo, I supplied them

rather than the place name (which also can be input..but eventually

it takes the co ordinates)

 

Not the GPS..blackberry stuff.. I know the values by heart !
