Guest guest
Hi, It is a pleasure to be here. My name is Rodolfo and I study Traditional Western Astrology and Jyotisha. Though I do not want to mix both of them, sometimes this is unbearable. I have been amazed by the subleties of this sacred science, but of course I have some doubts I'd like to share with the members: In Western Traditional Astrology, a ruler of a house is important unless other planet is in the house. According to Morin de Villefranche (french astrologer), " position is stronger than rulership " . So I would like to ask you if this is also right in Jyotisha. I have a Pisces Lagna. My seventh house is " loaded " by Mars and Saturn; in this case, shall we give a minor importance to mercury, L7? Thanks Rodolfo
Guest guest
Dear Rodolfo Yes, the planet occupied in a house is stronger than the owner under certain conditions. The planet should not be in debiltation sign or in enemy sign or conjoin with debilitated planet. The owner should not be in exaltation sign or conjoin with exalted planet. " Tenent is stronger than the owner. " For any planet, the starlord is important. Planet will give what starlord gives, its ownership and position. If any planet is in the star of the owner then the owner is weak. Westerner is following sayana system and vedic is following nirayana system.. Ayanamsa degree 23 is the difference between the two. Under this condition, planets and cusps occupied different signs in vedic and western. Venus may be exalted in pisces in vedic but it may fall in Aries in western.
