I personally found these points reliable from time to time.Any logical arguments

are always welcome.Maybe you could add some new points if you know.

1. Lagna/Lagna lord in a moveable sign/dual signs: if the lagna and lagna lord

both are in moveable signs or dual signs then it would indicate foreign travel.

Lagna indicates self so when the sign which indicates self and the lord of that

sign are in moveable or dual signs which indicates movement it can mean foreign

travel for the person.

2. 7th house is the house of foreign country and so is 12th house. 9th house

indicates foreign travel. So if the lagna or lagna lord makes a connection with

the 7th house/7th lord, 9th house, 9th lord or 12th house/12th lord it can mean

foreign travel. The connections can be conjunction, aspect, mutual exchange, or

one lord placed in another's house.

3. Lagna/lagna lord makes connection with Rahu. Rahu again indicates foreign

country so it's being placed in lagna or lagna lord in conjunction, mutual

aspect with Rahu can mean foreign travel.

4. 4th house signifies home so 4th house/lord in connection (conjunction/mutual

aspect/mutual exchange/aspect) with 7th/7th lord, 9th/9th lord or 12th/12th lord

can mean foreign travel.

5. 4th house is the significator of home so natural malefics (Sun. Mars, Rahu,

Ketu, Saturn) in the 4th house will take a person away from home. Malefic in the

4th house indicates unhappiness from home so it will take him away from home to

give him unhappiness as a result of staying away from home.

6. Same rule applies to the 2nd house of family. i.e malefics (Saturn, Mars,

Rahu, Ketu, Sun) in the 2nd house will result in the person leaving his family.

Malefic in the 2nd house has to make the person unhappy in regard to family

matters so it will take him away from family to suffer detachment from family.

The last 2 points will give foreign travel if some of the other points

indicating foreign travel are there. Otherwise the person will stay at home

suffer due to the effects of the malefic.

If 2 of the first 4 points are fulfilled there are strong chances of foreign

travel otherwise there is a weak chance.

The dasha of 7th, 9th or 12th lord, or of planets connected (mutual aspect,

conjunction, mutual exchange, aspect) with 7th house/lord, 9th house/lord, 12th

house/lord indicates foreign travel. Dasha of Rahu also indicates foreign travel

as rahu is a significator of foreign country. Dasha of Jupiter can also indicate

foreign travel as Jupiter is the 9th and 12th sign (9th and 12th houses are

foreign travel) of the Kaalpurush zodiac (natural zodiac).

Dear Chaudhuriji,

Really a very nice, intersting and very informative mail.  I have few

clearifications. would like you to throw some light.

If there is a foreign travel/ settlement yoga in a chart. Then how to determine

whether the native will return back to its native land, due to any reason ?

Are retrograde lords of 4th/9th and/or 12th house indicate the return to native

place , and where these lords may be placed to suggest the return ?

Regards,

Anurag

Hi Krishnen Ji,

My chart fulfills two of the conditions mentioned. I had gone abroad during

March-April 2006 (2 weeks) for work. Prior to this I had gone abroad for a 2

month extensive family trip visting various countries in 1995 i think. However,

the trip was full of tensions and not enjoyable.

I have been living away from my hometown Patna since 1997. Though we have our

own flat here in Delhi, it never feels like home. Added to that, I have to

travel 45 kms everyday to goto my office in Gurgaon and then the same distance

back again. This has been going on since 2005. The journey has caused stress and

taken a lot away from me. But I am determined to be a successsful professional.

I want to know if I will settle abroad/ go abroad again. Will my settlement/

travel be as traumatic as before?

Hi All,

Yes as per book and rules what chaudhuri.krishnendu said is true but there are

many considerable points before coming to conclusion,

Lets take example of my horoscope

june 16 1981

1:30Pm

Nalgonda

i am virgo ascedent having mecury in gemini with venus and sun

i do have jupiter and satrun in lagna and i am running of venus dasa

so now as of your rules

lagna and lagnadipati in duel signs : Yes

Lagna with 9 and 12 lord : Yes

4 lord with 6 lord : yes

4 with sat : yes

i do made a lot of journeys and i have visited foriegn land to ....

but i missed many oppurtunites where i can stay abroad for a long term

saturn played a important role being in lagna as satrun is slow moving plannet

and as it doesnt like changes ... it has stopped to me go abroad at a young age

when i went to astrologers to go through my horoscope they used to say that you

will be visiting abroad at a young age and you are going travel a lot which

didnt happen much

the other cause as virgo rules india , i got opportunity to visit most of the

places in india

the conclusion which i would like give is that when an non movable planet like

satrun and mars comes in picture our dicisions should re judged

Krishnendu,

Very nice summary, I have seen one or more of these to be true in

most foreign related native's charts. In case you are aware of any significators

leading to settlement abroad as opposed to mere travel. In a number of cases, I

have seen connections between seventh and twelfth houses leading to permanent

settlement abroad but ninth house involvement leads to foreign travels. Not

aware of any others, in case you have developed a laundry list like below, would

appreciate if you share.

thanks and kind regards,

Would it be safe to say that looking at say last thirty to forty years, females

had been moving away from their natal home/city/province at least in India? Or

even out of country?

More than Indian Males?

Due to marriage? Is this just a gender-related influence or does the 7th house,

upapada etc have a special say in female charts as far as uprooting,

moves-distant and near?

I wonder. Has anyone studied that from this angle?

arguments are always welcome.Maybe you could add some new points if you know.

lord both are in moveable signs or dual signs then it would indicate foreign

travel. Lagna indicates self so when the sign which indicates self and the lord

of that sign are in moveable or dual signs which indicates movement it can mean

foreign travel for the person.

> > > 2. 7th house is the house of foreign country and so is 12th house. 9th

house indicates foreign travel. So if the lagna or lagna lord makes a connection

with the 7th house/7th lord, 9th house, 9th lord or 12th house/12th lord it can

mean foreign travel. The connections can be conjunction, aspect, mutual

exchange, or one lord placed in another's house.

> > > 3. Lagna/lagna lord makes connection with Rahu. Rahu again indicates

foreign country so it's being placed in lagna or lagna lord in conjunction,

mutual aspect with Rahu can mean foreign travel.

> > > 4. 4th house signifies home so 4th house/lord in connection (conjunction/

mutual aspect/mutual exchange/aspect) with 7th/7th lord, 9th/9th lord or

12th/12th lord can mean foreign travel.

> > > 5. 4th house is the significator of home so natural malefics (Sun. Mars,

Rahu, Ketu, Saturn) in the 4th house will take a person away from home. Malefic

in the 4th house indicates unhappiness from home so it will take him away from

home to give him unhappiness as a result of staying away from home.

> > > 6. Same rule applies to the 2nd house of family. i.e malefics (Saturn,

Mars, Rahu, Ketu, Sun) in the 2nd house will result in the person leaving his

family. Malefic in the 2nd house has to make the person unhappy in regard to

family matters so it will take him away from family to suffer detachment from

family.

> > > The last 2 points will give foreign travel if some of the other points

indicating foreign travel are there. Otherwise the person will stay at home

suffer due to the effects of the malefic.

> > > If 2 of the first 4 points are fulfilled there are strong chances of

foreign travel otherwise there is a weak chance.

> > > The dasha of 7th, 9th or 12th lord, or of planets connected (mutual

aspect, conjunction, mutual exchange, aspect) with 7th house/lord, 9th

house/lord, 12th house/lord indicates foreign travel. Dasha of Rahu also

indicates foreign travel as rahu is a significator of foreign country. Dasha of

Jupiter can also indicate foreign travel as Jupiter is the 9th and 12th sign

(9th and 12th houses are foreign travel) of the Kaalpurush zodiac (natural

zodiac).
