Guest guest
Because I have been told I am living a moksha lifetime, I am especially interested in questions from a different slant. I have been looking at Jagannatha Hora 7.32 software and asking questions in the Vedic Astrology section of the Astrodienst forum online: my nickname in that forum is ConnieD. In the Astrology Research forum I am Connie1947. At Astrodienst, a member of this group provided an interesting link to srath " 8petallotus " in intermediate lessons online. I read the reference and I asked her, what is my Ishta Devata, Pälana Devata and Dharma Devata? Based on birthtime rectification, up to this point, by Joe373 and Stille at Astrodienst Vedic Astrology threads: " VEDIC Your Rising (Lagna) & Physical Appearance " and " Vedic Astrology Discussions and Solutions " She answered, Your chara karakas Highest degree planet - AK - Atmakaraka....Sun at 28:24 2nd Highest - AmK - Amatyakaraka......Jup at 26:05 3rd Highest - BK - Bhatrikaraka.....Mars at 24:20 4th Highest - MK - Matrikaraka.......Mercury at 22:59 5th Highest - PiK - Pitrikaraka.......Rahu at 20:42 (you have to subtract 9:18 from 30 deg as Rahu moves backwards and so has traveled 20:42 degrees) 6th Highest - PK - Putrakaraka.......Moon at 19:50 7th Highest - GK - Gnatikaraka......Saturn at 12:56 8th Highest - Dk - Darakaraka......Venus at 6:40 So your Sun is atmakaraka having traveled the furthest through a sign, and the sign it's in in the navamsha is your karakamsha, and that's Virgo. The 12th from your karakamsha is Leo, with no planets in it, so you take the lord to find the Ishta Devata, which is the Sun. It doesn't look like it mentions this on the page, but you can't worship yourself (Sun being atmakaraka as well as 12th lord), so the next step is to look for planets conjoining or aspecting the atmakaraka itself in the navamsha chart. In your navamsha, the sun is joined with Ketu, and Ketu connects with Ganapati, so Ganapati would be your Ishta Deveta. For the Dharma devata, you look to the 9th from your Virgo karakamsha and it has Jupiter, so then Indra or Sambashiva would be your Dharma devata. For the Palana Devata, you look at the 6th from your Amatyakaraka (2nd highest karaka) which is Jupiter and then the 6th from Jupiter has Saturn in Libra, and Saturn connects with Brahma or Vishnu. adding: The ak sign being ruled by itself is supposed to show spiritual advancement. Then you have ak conjunct Ketu, the moksha indicator...and finally....sun + ketu is called 'shiva yoga' and it's also a spiritual yoga as well In the forum, I answered, Thank you, this opens up a whole new realm of thinking, for me. At srath advanced lessons, quote Sun as AK indicates the native has to learn to overcome his ego and should become humble. Yes. Even so, Rahu is ätmakäraka for me? Quote: Rahu as AK indicates that the native maybe cheated often and will still have to be free from guile and clean hearted. That is also so true. Rahu is always " retrograde " isn't it? Quote: A retrograde ätmakäraka indicates a deep-rooted desire as being the cause of the birth. I understand some vedic astrologers use the " modern planets " including Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. Uranus is highest in longitude in sign by 28 48 17.01 in my natal chart. Could Uranus be considered ätmakäraka? Is Uranus considered at all? Uranus is considered " combust " . Quote: Combustion of AK gives spiritual insight. In western astrology, the last degree is also considered the " anaretic degree " or " the last of the matter " . In vedic astrology, Uranus and Sun are near 29 Taurus. Is there anything vedic astrology has about that? I would add, the Pleides are at 29 Taurus, some consider within 30' of 29 Taurus is conjunct. The Pleides have significance for the Hopi, and according to Hopi - Vedic Parallels, by Prash Trivedi. But what of vedic parallels? Is there any significance of the Pleides for vedic astrologers, good or bad or neutral. In historical references in western astrology The Pleides represent change. I am interested in that question. However my primary question is are the Ishta Devata, Pälana Devata and Dharma Devata correct? The Sun cannot be Ishta Devata? Rahu can? The Sun represents: Human Connections to the Divine: Self, Ego & Soul according to barbarapijan topics Surya online. I searched online and I see there are three or more Shiva Yogas: Hara Yoga, Hari Yoga, and more. Jagannatha Hora 7.32 does not list Shiva Yoga. In summary, are the Ishta Devata, Pälana Devata and Dharma Devata correct? and, Do I have Shiva Yoga? and what Shiva Yoga do I have? What aspect of Shiva is represented? Guest guest
Dear <almost there*> friend! Why so many doubts even during what you have been told, I believe, is the last lifetime? :-) By that time, souls generally begin to tell more than they ask! ;-) Pardon my naive amusement, but it almost sounds like someone in the mundane, ordinary, 'nether'-reality where internet is housed, asking: Should I buy petroleum stocks or in Nikon or Microsoft? OR, " Which would be the most efficient and effective way to attain Moksha? Should I worship Shiva, Vishnu or Santoshi Mata? " Perhaps you should go back to the ONE who planted this thought about this being the moksha time in your head! As opposed to posing such a question before the public forum :-) Makes sense? Guest guest
I got the information about having a moksha lifetime from vedic astrologer thread at Astrodienst. However, it was my guru, apparently authentic, who arrived on schedule, shown in my vedic astrology charts. vedic astrology , " Rohiniranjan " <jyotish_vani wrote: > > Dear <almost there*> friend! > > Why so many doubts even during what you have been told, I believe, is the last lifetime? :-) > > By that time, souls generally begin to tell more than they ask! ;-) > > Pardon my naive amusement, but it almost sounds like someone in the mundane, ordinary, 'nether'-reality where internet is housed, asking: Should I buy petroleum stocks or in Nikon or Microsoft? > > OR, " Which would be the most efficient and effective way to attain Moksha? Guest guest
I would add, I was invited to the group. Apparently, Angela holds a higher opinion of this group. vedic astrology , " Rohiniranjan " <jyotish_vani wrote: > > Dear <almost there*> friend!
