Guest guest
 I am overwhelmed by the response and immediate appreciation received from many for my first article on ‘10th house’, mailed yesterday. I herein, continue on ‘what combination of Planets could indicate the type of vocation one would take as indicated in his/her birth chart. I thank one and all for this.  PHALA DEEPIKA by Mantreswara:  Sloka 28 of “Dwadasa Bhava Pala†– Adyaya 16  URGSVI JANAVALLABHO DASAMAGE SURYA KUJA VA MAHATHU  KARYAM SAADHAYATHI PRATHAPABHAHULAM KEYSASCHA SUSTE YADI SWUDHYAPARAVATEEM KRIYAM VITHANUTHEY SOWMYESHU                                         \                                                  SANCHALADEETHAM  KARMASTHESHWAHIMANDHAKETHUSHU BHAVADUSHKAAREE NARA: II  ‘When the Sun and Mars is posited in the 10th house, the native will be a mighty personality and popular leader. Should the Lord of 10th House be strongly situated, he could accomplishment challenging undertakings requiring great heroism and velour. He shall perform many commendable and beneficial acts recognized and praised noble people if the benefic occupy the 10th house. On the contrary, when Raghu, Saturn and/  or Ketu occupy 10th house, the native will be inclined to sinful and wicked deeds.’  While it is so, the same author prescribes, that the Profession or vocation of an individual should be confirmed after a careful study of ‘Navamasa’ chakra occupied by the Planet owning the 10th Placein ‘Rasi’ Chakra, from its Lagna, the Moon, and Sun, whichever is stronger. As we all know that a house in a birth chart is divided into 9 parts, where it coincides with one Quarter of the star prescribed for that Star.  The following indicates when the sign is owned by the Planet, with related vocations:  SUN                     : High posts under Government (including Minister and authorized administrator) water, grains, gold, pearls, wool, medicine, wool and grass. MOON                 : Earth, speculations, vocation related to water (Navy, Meteorologist, Water Tank supervisor to engineer, etc), agriculture and dress, apparel etc. MARS                  :  Army, rubber, fire, daring deeds and sports, surgery, blood etc. MERCURY         :  Experts in ‘Vedas’, religious preceptors (bishops and similar heads), Astrology, Professors, teachers, vocations involving Mathematics, economists, Auditors, Tax collectors, Meter readers etc). JUPITER           : ‘Prohits’, ritual performers, Teachers, advocates, judges, revered leaders of society, persons with integrity, etc. VENUS             : Professions related to conveyance (cars, cycles, commercial vehicles etc) elephants, horses, entertainment, cattle, sweet including sugar, salts, curd and allied products, rice and other similar consuming items, horses and their welfare (including racing industry and animal husbandry), Ruby and other gems, and Gold and other ornamental products. SATURN          : Carpentry, wood cutting, forest Rangers, Zoo maintenance, scavenging, servants of all types (domestic to industries), food catering, and menials in Grave yards, community service, and labor in religious houses.  This would project a broad spectrum and one must be completely conversant to the branches and allied vocations related to above.  I am listing below some combinations in 10th house could point to following vocations:  Sun & Mars                            :            Vices of all types and women and flesh trade. Sun & Mercury                      :            Women in profession, jewels, Astrology. Sun & Jupiter                        :            Employment in Government with status. Mercury & Jupiter               :             Highly talented, honored by Government. Mercury & Venus                :             Learned and prosper all his life to riches. Mercury & Saturn               :             Clerical vocation, machine operator, worker. Mars & Jupiter                    :             Holds position with power to command others. Mars & Venus                       :             Foreign Trade. Mars & Saturn                      :             Wise, shrewd, serves with dignity and vanity. Jupiter & Venus                   :             Learned, respected by all and helpful. Jupiter & Saturn                  :             Quarrelsome, and unreliable. Venus & Saturn                   :              Cosmetics, manufacture and trade, medicine.  The following said in by Manthreswara’s Phaladeepika, on ‘the lord of Navamsa occupied by the strongest of the Planets owning the 10th House from Lagna, the Moon and the Sun (in this order):  Sun                     :     Manthras, gambling, speaking un-truth, dealing in wool, medicine, metals, connections/service under noble person. Moon                  :     Business, gems, agriculture, pilgrimage (tourism), Fine arts, textiles, trading in cattle. Mars                  :      Military service, cooking, weapons, wickedness, bold action, rebel, spy, thief. Mercury            :       Librarian, reader, magician, astrologer, scholar, priest, Performer. Venus               :        Women (opposite sex), dance silver, scent, milk and jewels.            In the present day choosing a professional career is a very difficult task. There, in fact, is no choice for an individual and these Planets indicate the ‘path’ of career as explained above.  Blessings.  Pathi.                                           \                                         \                        A.V.Pathi,  Astrologer, (consultation fees payable for direct detailed studies) 'Oxton House', 6, Hawthorn Road, Cherry Willingham, 0044+01522+595996, Lincoln LN3 4JT, United Kingdom.   Pl. contact 'kountinya29' " ........When there is uncertainty, He gave us hope; When there was indecision,He gave us clarity....
