Sir,

 

There are many types of mental " peace " , and some of them are diametrically

opposed to each other. Human mind knows myriads of ways to cheat and befool the

real Self (Soul).

 

It is good to get detached from materialism, but mere thinking does not lead to

Nirvana. Carnal Pleasure (as Catholics know it) must be killed in its bud : the

bud is Desire as The Buddha put it, or Kaama as Gita says.

 

The litmus test of progress of an individual Being towards Universal

Consciousness and Eternal Peace is dream. If you do not remember any dream,

your sleep is Taamasika. If you remember dreams with a physical body doing all

sorts of bad acts, your sleep is Taamasika. If you remember dreams without a

physical body for you, quite conscious of the fact that the real physical body

is lying on the cot and the dreamer is not Body but A Central Point of

Consciousness, your sleep is Saatvika. Only a Saatvik person is destined for

Nirvana. Read Yoga-Vaasistha and Paatanjala-Yoga-Pradeep of gita press

(Gorakhpur) if you knpw Hindi. Read Gita, esp the last chapters, for making

yourself more and more saatvika. Eg, saatvika food, saatvik radings, etc. I

subsist on single meal a day, abstaining from all salts, spices, oils, etc in

foods (it is 12th year), with a lifelong vow of brahmacharya, yet too when some

bad people come into my contacts I see non-saatvika

dreams.

 

I hope my general comments above will not be misunderstood as any remark on you

personally. Now , following are my specific comments on your horoscope, which I

hope will take in good spirit.

 

Every mortal has good and bad thinngs. Your chart has an enmically placed

Jupiter, exalted Venus and enmically placed Mercury in 6-7-8 houses. Planets in

6-7-8 houses show the future after Death, and therefore show the dominant set of

Karmas at the time of departure from this life.

 

Mercury in 8 means Hell, which is a sign of sins committed in this life. But the

main period of Mercury will start after 2034 when you will be incapable of

committing any serious sin even if you wish, although sub-periods of Mercury

during periods of

Rahu and Mars (25 years before Sep 30, 2000) must have ......

 

Exalted Venus in 7th saved your family happiness which was threatened my D9 lord

Mars in 6th house. Exalted Venus in 7th leads to second class Heaven, ie,

rebirth as a mortal after enjoying Heaven.

 

Jupiter in 6th leads to first class Heaven, ie, even Nirvana and permanent

salvation from the cycles of rebirths. The main period of Jupiter started on Sep

30, 2000, and will last for 7 years more, after which you will not be happy with

your children and will get diseases and enemies even without your faults.

 

When all these results are combined, you deserve a short spell in Hell, a long

spell in high class Heaven, and a rebirth into a noble and religious family,

better than that of present one which was also religious.

 

Your Moon has more shadbala than Sun and sits in the Dreskaan of Jupiter but in

8th house with Mercury, which means you came to this world from low class Heaven

and in previous life did more virtues than sins. Compared to previous life, this

life shows remarkable signs of progress spiritually. You alesre lucky to have 7

more years of Jupiter which will give you troubles in house/vehicles/land and

real estate, as well as in family peace, but will induce you towards

spirituality. Instead of remaining satisfied with your present situation, you

must strive for higher levels of spirituality through meditation, Tapa ,

fasting, dream control, eyc. I hope you will not feel offended by my remarks.

My Respected teachers of the knowledge,

 

I am just an humble man born for a very humble couple in " Chennai " used to be

called Madras. It was 1950 May 25 at around 3:00PM, I was came out of my

mother's womb that I remember from my mother who passed away more than a decade

ago.

 

I left home in 1972 and I was sailing on the Merchant ships as an officer and in

1975 I started working with a New York shipping co. (Merchant ships). I traveled

all over this wonderful World and lived among 19 different nationals learned

lots of languages and culture.

 

Now I am 59, well established in life and blessed with 2 wonderful children and

they excel in their studies.

 

I come to a point in this present human life that my heart or mind never

attached to material things, I rise in the morning and look towards the East say

thanks to God for all the blessings given to me. There is a wonderful peace that

I never experienced before in my life.

 

My question is, am I stepping the first step of NIRWANA of this chaotic human

life?

I only asked the creator to bless the presence of higher being with me , which

would be more than any of this worldly material life I possess.

 

I would be very appreciative if any one of you great teachers to give me the

input.

 

I was raised in a catholic christian family but I went to hindu school all

through my school age in India. My belief was always " Oneness " that Universal

supereme creator.
