Q:  Does ‘Raja Yoga’ interpreted from a birth chart is to mean that this

yoga promises to that person not to experience any difficulties and will live

from birth to death leading a princely life? …Chandna Kasyapu

 

Ans: No. It is not an absolute result.

 

‘Yoga’ as described out of a birth chart: (a) is due to certain combination

of Planets, or (b) Lords of certain houses, or © the selected relative

disposition of a Planet to the Lagna (Ascendant) or to position of the Moon.

Many such combinations are referred to as ‘Raja Yoga’ said to result to that

person’s  brilliant stages of life.

 

This ‘yoga’ will be on effect for those born in a royal family to lead a

royal life or Emperor and those born in middle class family will attain

commanding powers and be popular and prosperous. In a nut shell, it can be

explained, that such a person will live ‘above wants’ in various stages of

his life, basing the birth environment and in progress of his life.  There are

many conditions for these ‘yoga’ to fit into a chart, while there could be

unpleasant things indicated therein. Generally these create confidence in the

minds of a client, while it may not unfold them in reality to that person and

leave him disappointed as well as lose the reliability of finds by that

astrologer.

 

The important facts are to be considered as follows:

 

1.        One should note, to start with, the circumstances, environment,

and the take off status of the family at the time of birth of this native;

2.        It should be found that the person will have the Desha Period

of the planets causing ‘Raja Yoga’ as defined;

3.        Any of the Planets in the combination for causing ‘Raja

Yoga’ is positioned in 6 or 8 or 12th houses from Lagna in the Rasi Chakra;

4.        Whether the Planet among those causing ‘Raja Yoga’ is

conjoined with the Nodes – Raghu and Ketu – or, with the Lords of 6th,8th or

12th House from Lagna;

5.        Whether that person will live to have the benefits to the age

at which the mutual Desha and/or Bukties of those Planets producing ‘Raja

Yoga’ will operate, while the Lords of 6th 8th and 12th houses are not

conjoined with them in such periods.

6.        The Planets producing ‘Raja Yoga’ are not in the

constellation (Nakshathras) in the birth chart.

7.        Adyaya 7 of Mantreswara’s ‘PHALA DEEPIKA’ : Sloka 24 ::

reads “ Astrologers have given following four Raja Yoga: (a) Malefic occupying

the 3rd, 6th, and 11th houses reckoned from ONE(the house) occupied by the Lord

of Lagna , or where the Moon is posited, or from Lagna (scaling done the related

intensity of results to the houses recorded); (b) Mars and Mercury deposited in

the 2nd House from Lagna; © The Sun and Venus occupying the 4th House; (d)

Mars, Saturn and Jupiter placed in the 10th, 11th and the Lagna.

 

The general interpretation of ‘Raja Yoga’ at birth will be, that person is

said to live in regal status with adoration, luxuries, transacts abundant of

wealth and comfort, in the company of many consorts.

 

However, this general interpretation is ‘missing’ in many of those who were

told that they will experience ‘Raja Yoga’ as there are limitations and the

same could not be generalized due to many factors in consideration.

 

‘Raja Yoga’ found in implying above rules, will at best, operate in the

attributed Desha, Bukti, Anthara period,

 and mitigate a person from, any suffering/disappointment/ or lack of desired

achievement till then in his life.

 

For easy understanding, The Moon and Mars cause ‘Chandramangala’ Yoga

described as to produce extreme beneficial results in appropriate Desha-bukti

periods.  Let us assume that this combination of two planets is in ‘Kumbha’

Rasi with Mesha as lagna.  Even at the earliest Degree in Kumbha Rasi, if the

Moon is deposited, he can enjoy the Mars’ period for maximum of 3 and half

years. Then he will have Moon Desha at his age after 96 years! Hence the benefit

of ‘Chandramangala’ yoga will not be conspicuous in his life time and there

is no use

                   of this yoga in his chart.

 

A Yoga caused by two related Planets will be enjoyed only when their periods

operate in one’s life time and not for the entire period of his life.
