Mine is, of course, a hypothetical question.

If astrology can predict to a reasonable degree (given that it is a statistical

science) what the fate of a person will be, depending on the state of their 8th

and other houses which show the time and manner of death, then this would mean

that all the doomed passengers shared a commonality in their 8th houses. Yes?

That is to say, a person who perishes in an air crash, if we had access to his

chart, should show that death was likely to be violent and sudden.

Btw, is there any special significator (in people's charts) for death in the

air?

Of course, some passengers could have drowned, but I am assuming most died in an

explosion, so perhaps Sun in the 8th house?

Yes, of course, Rohiniji - much of astrology (as also medicine, and other

fields) is theoretical, is it not?

Perhaps we should have astrologers posted at every departure lounge in the world

checking the charts of passengers before they board! :-)

Jokes aside, would you say that the passengers all MUST have shown some

congruity in their charts (at least as to manner of death), or are astrological

rules superceded in the case of mass-disasters?

On a related note, may I ask you and the others here what the special

significance of each of the planets in the 8th house signifies regarding manner

of death (for any individual). For instance, Mars in 8th can indicate violent

death (road traffic accident, assassination etc.) of both the native and/or

their spouse (since 8th house is the house of marital ties), yes? I think Rahu

in 8th indicates death in a foreign country, is that correct?
