shani's sadhe-sati -- not quite 7 and a half!

Not sure if you have read Katveji's writings which I have been told were what

introduced these considerations about +/- 45 degrees from moon to comply with

the 90 degree exact transit that represents sade sati for some.

 

How about if we consider this from a Navamsha perspective? That nearly all

jyotishis accept as a special chart with a very special all-pervasive

significance that goes beyond marriage and Dharma and Dharma-Patni!

 

As you know, navamsha or the novile/nonile aspect has a 40 degree connection!

Planets that are 40 degrees apart or multiples thereof (novile/nonile aspect)

are in conjunction in navamsha!

 

Now let us look at your navamsha moon. When saturn enters the navamsha in which

your natal moon is while Shani is in the rashi behind the natal moon, let us

call the entry point where transit shani will be in the same navamsha as natal

moon!

 

Then saturn makes one navamsha round and this time it is in the same rashi and

navamsha as natal moon, then saturn makes another round and arrives at the natal

lunar navamsha again and then it 'leaves' the moon alone!

 

The three navamsha cycles of saturn over the natal moon, if you wish you could

consider what I described as Saturn's Papa Kartari on your natal moon, vis-a-vis

the natal navamsha moon!

 

It will lie between 40 and 43d 20m and not quite 45 degrees but what is a couple

of degrees here or there, given all these ayanamshas we are married to, less

that 90 minutes apart!

 

Now the next thing to do is to try it out personally in a few cases if you have

the time, interest and inclination or perhaps even the need!

teaches n for time frame of my work couldnt able to follow his teaching sir ,

but his book called Sadhe Sati writen by him gave me so much insight, now as u r

I am not sure if Katveji gave more insight into why he used +/- 45 other than

using Sadesati as a very wide conjunction with an orb that was 45 degrees on

each side, perhaps to get away from situations where moon is at 28 degrees leo

and still many consider the beginning of sade sati when saturn enters cancer (58

degrees before natal moon and believed to relieve the moon when shani leaves

virgo (32 degrees after contacting the moon -- making the span around the moon a

bit skewed.

 

Hope that helps? Try it in a few charts in your sade sati collection and if it

works in your hands, stick with it, if not go back to whatever you were

following :-)
