Guest guest
I am Sunder Rangarajan from Mumbai, India...Iam a 41 year old man and belong to Kumbha Rashi,Satabhisha Nakshatra.I was deeply worried about the current transit to Kanya Rashi since it would be a Ashtama Shani to me. Few years back my sade-sati Shani did a lot of damage to me and hence it was obvious that I would be really terrified. My father is Tula Rashi and hence his Sade-Sati would also be commencing now...So he suggested that we visit the Tirunallar Shani Temple at Karaikal. I have visited the temple twice before but never during a Shani Payarchi. Also I was told that there will be a huge crowd there and it may prove to be very difficult for us to get darshan. But none-the-less the fear about this transit was so large in us that we took the risk. We booked the ticket for 22/06 for Chennai by Chennai express. We reached Chennai on 23/06 in the evening...We then boarded the late night bus for Vaideeswaram temple from Koyambedu bus terminus in Chennai. We reached Vaideeswaram on 24/06 at around 5.00a.m. Vaideeswaram is also our family kuladev...We took a cottage near the temple itself for six hours where we took bath and freshened up. Then we visited the temple and offered prayers and Archana...After our breakfast , we left for Tirunallar on 24/06 itself...We were worried we may not find any lodge and hence we went one day in advance. As expected we did not find any lodge room and few rooms available were priced high. We have a relative in the nearby town named SoraKudi. We visited them hoping to find a place there for two days. Also we thought out lodging cost will be saved.Though the elderly member of the family was keen on accommodating us , the younger fellow showed his displeasure. So we did not insist and came back to Tirunallar. We starting making inquiries and one shop keeper told us that a family was accommodating guests for some money. We spoke to the family and they were willing to keep us for two days(48 hrs.) and charged us Rs.1000.00. We were helpless and hence agreed. That evening itself we visited the temple and performed archana because we felt offering archana on 26/09 will be impossible. The next day on 25/09 morning we left for Mayladuthurai. We visited the famous Avayambal Temple and other temples. In the evening when we reached Tirunallar, we could see the crowds swell. Anticipating heavy rush the next day, we bought two VIP tickets for RS.500.00. We also paid for Abhishekam(for Rs.250.00) during transit time the following day . We were told we will get the darshan in max. 3 hrs. time with our VIP pass. So the next day early in the morning we left for Velankanni. I was eager to see the church there. We came back to Tirunallar in the noon. Then we took a oil bath in the pond at Tirunallar at around 2.00 PM and stood in the line by 2.45 hoping to see Shani dev at 3.27(Exact transit time)...But to our disappointment many VVIP's turned up in time and we had to wait...At 3.27 there was a huge celebration there and crackers were burst. Then we were allowed to go in. We got darshan at around 4.15 (after the transit).I prayed a lot seeking the lords' blessings. Then that night we left Tirunallar happy and left for MelMaravathur(Om Shakti Temple). We reached Om Shakti temple on 27/09 at 5.00 A.M. After the bath and darshan we left for Chennai in the afternoon. We then boarded the late night Mumbai Mail and reached Mumbai on 29/09 ,early morning. Now, I feel very confident this transit will be good for me,even though it is Ashtama Shani for me...This trip was very memrable and I will remember it for many years...Hopefully this effort will bear fruits.
