Namaste Gurujis,

Could you please throw some light on the effects of debilitated Mars for various

Raashis? (I read in an email that Mars got debilitated starting from Oct 5th for

7.8 months, have seen the email threads about the devastations in general that

were fore casted during this period..)

Any caution for Cancer Raashis, as it got debilitated in Cancer sign?

I was also curious to know how it effects the native whose Mars is in Cancer

house (which is 5th house in this case)

Thank you very much. Really appreciate your response.Regards,

Divya

Dear Divya,

It is known to all of us that neech (debilitation) is not a welcome state

(avastha) for a planet to have. Nonetheless, if neechsthana is owned by a

natural malefic planet and has enmity with neecha graha then effects would be

more severe (eg. Saturn in Aries is worse than Mars in Cancer). Classical

jyotish doctrines praise Mars in neech but in Cancer langa, because of its

unique yoga-karaka status for this ascendant.

Moreover, NO DEFINITE RESULT can be inferred for a planet in debilitation sign,

unless its RASHI-DISPOSITOR and NAVAMSA-DISPOSITOR are not considered. It may be

possible that lord of Rashi and lord of navamsa, occupied by Mars, is either

strong, average or weak in strength.

About transit, give your birth details or horoscope. Your just told you have

Mars in 5th-Cancer. Prediction on the basis of just one planet may be

MISLEADING.

One important point regarding TRANSIT:

1) When a planet gets retrograde in transit at/near the natal cusp of a house.

It surely yields its lasting good/bad result concerning that house and nature of

transiting planet.

2) When a planet gets retrograde in transit at/near natal planet gives lasting

good/bad effect regarding karakattawa and ownership of natal planet.

Above are especially true for outer planets (Saturn, Jupiter & Mars) during

change of dasha/antar.

Sincerely,

M. Imran

Dear Sir,

I also have Mars in Cancer and Cancer happens to be my birth rashi as well. My

ascendant is Aquarius. For your analysis, my birth details are 18th April, 1978,

02:12 AM, Calcutta.

Kindly share your views on the above.

Deep

Dear Deep,

Your chart reveals that you yourself possess a sound understanding of vedic

astrology besides good education and mental ken... am I right? (Mercury in 2nd

in the sign of Jupiter and 2nd lord Jupiter in 5th in the sign of Mercury.

Whereas their navamsa lords aspect the lagna)

This parivartana simultaneously forms a dhana yoga, but retrogression of Mercury

and inclusion of nodes have enfeebled the dhanayoga. So your finance often wax

and wan more than usual (this is what R.Santhanam holds: retrograde planets in

2nd/8th with nodes gives much ups and down in life). There may also be multiple

means of earning on account of dual sings involvement.

Venus, however a yoga karaka for your Aqu. ascendant, but she might not give you

that much benefit and especially marriage. Do you have a job (rather own work)

related to mercury?

Regarding transit of Mars in Cancer. Don't confine yourself with gocharphala of

mere a single planet. Sorry for not addressing your query according to your

desire. But look a picture in whole first then in bits and pieces.

Best wishes,

M. Imran

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your kind words. I am interested in learning this in detail, if

you so allow.

You have rightly commented about the waning and waxing finances. But if you

note, Mercury (Retrograde) is debilitated in Pisces which I have read and heard

is a " Neechbhanga "  . I am actually looking for a suitable job since June this

year that corresponds to my educational and professional expertise, but I have

not come across much success.

I would be thankful if you can guide me to comprehend my chart better.

Regards,

Deep
