the world is not going to end so soon. relax. there have been such baseless

rumors before also.

Hello Amit:

 

That is a good question, but it is important to remember that not all Mayan

scholars take the Winter Solstice 2012 date as the end date of the Mayan

calendar.

 

Dr. Carl Johan Calleman gives an earlier date in October 2011, which I believe

is more accurate. Moreover, Dr. Calleman does not necessarily posit great

disasters for earth, but more of a change in consciousness for humanity, and in

this respect his thinking may reflect Vedic thought, with that of a change of

the end of a kalyuga and the start of a new yug.

 

We just entered into a new phase of the Mayan calendar two days ago, according

to Calleman. It may prove more enlightening to match Vedic astrology with the

Mayan calendar as interpreted by Calleman, rather than those who go with the

2012 date.
