need some urgent help

Dear Guruji,

 

Thanks for your mail on Moola Nakshatra. I need some help with regards to my

career life. Some sudden changes has crept a lot of uncertainity and I am

totally perplexed rather tensed and worried building lot of stress. I moved from

Bangalore to Delhi last year and joined new compant in Gurgaon on November 16th,

2008.

 

After one good year in this company suddenly they announced a re-organization in

the department that i was working in. Due to this change my role is affected.

The role for which i joined is getting changed with some new responsibilities.

Ideally we should have naturally progressed to this role but the company decide

to make this role open and invite applications from others in the company as

well. This new role is at a higher job band as against the band in which I was

into. They have asked me to apply for the role but there is a huge uncertainty.

There are 3 possibilities now:

 

1. If I am able to make it - well and good. In a way it is promotion then. This

is the most ideal scenario for me.

 

2. If I am able to make it they may ask to re-locate to some other region. But I

am not willing to re-locate as of now.

 

3. If I am not bale to make it - I may loose job, or they may offer something

else which I dont know I will like or not.

 

Now, I need to understand as to where things are heading and what are the likely

chances for me to get the same role at same location. If not what shall i do?

Need some immediate guidance as interviews shall happpen around 15th -20th

december and things shud be clear by end of december. Requesting help from you.

Pls guide so that I can be prepared and plan accordingly.
