Guest guest
In continuation of my earlier article on Mars dated 13th December 2009  Special positional value for Mars: “KUJASYAKARMANE THRUTHAVAPRAYAKTHASUBHAKAARITHAA THRIKONASYAAPI NETHRUTHVE NA KARMECHATHVAMATHRATHA:† c “when malefic Mars rules the ‘karma sthana’ ,i.e., 10th house from Janma Lagna, and this Mars, instead giving generally defined as to give only good ‘results’ will not give good results. Mars must be, apart be ruler of 10th house, he should rule ‘trikona’ from Lagna. This could be well understood, that though Mars owns, for Kumbha Lagna, the 3rd and 10th houses, - and he is not lord of Thrikona – he is not ‘qualified’ to give good results. Whereas, when he is lord of 5th and 10th house for Kataka Lagna, -as lord of Thrikona and Kendra – he gives excellent results. This assessment becomes relevant when the part played by positional function of Mars in a birth chart to assess the mutual relationship of both partners in marriage.  “DHAMPATHYO JANMAKALE VYAYADHANAHIBHUKE SAPTHAME LAGNARANTHARE LAGNASCHANDRASCHA SUKRADHI BHI BHAABHATHI YADHI BHUMIPUTHTHRODHVAYORVAI                        I THATHSAAMYE (SYAM) PUTHRAMITHRAPRACHURADHANAAPATI DEERGAKALA THVEKE HEENASTHDHANYE BHAVATHI MRUTHIRUTHI PRAAHURATHTRAATHRIMUKKYAA HA            II  At the time of each in a male and female , take the ‘Janma Lagna’, Chandra Lagna, and placement of Venus,  If, in either of these horoscopes, Mars occupies the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th or 12th from the House of Lagna, then it is termed as ‘Mars Dhosha’. In the event of marriage match of birth charts, if this placement is traced in both charts, it is said that both have Mars Dhosha, and it nullifies Dosha for each other, and charts could be considered for ‘matching’. If you find the above in one of the charts and the other chart does not have this Dhosha, the charts are not to be considered for ‘Match’.  However, as Mars is Lord of Mesha; Vruchika; malefic in the house of Kataka; and exalted in Makara; if placed in the Birth Chart in one of these houses he will shed down his ‘dhosa’ qualities. Further, if one of these houses from the house of Lagna, Moon or Venus be the 4th or 7th house, then also he shed his ‘Dosha’. If the house with Mars be, NOT movable sign (be fixed or common sign) then Mars becomes more ‘charged’ Papi to cause adverse effects.  (If in Kalathra Sthana, the 7th house, be housed with Saturn, Sun or Ketu, the Jathka will have problems and or delayed marriage)  It is noticed that the signs owned by Mars and Venus are seventh and also twelfth from each other. Mars therefore dissipates Venus (Goddess of pleasure and bed time compatibility)and stands on many matters opposed to what Venus signifies.  Some directly related results with Mars could cause: 1. Mars and Venus join/aspect each other/ or influence in any manner, this get exacerbated, if this association takes place in fixed sign. 2. If Mars and Kethu influence the factors indicating the self in a horoscope , the native suffers from accidents, violence and injuries. 3. When Mars and Jupiter together, will lead one to put in hard work for the good of the society. 4. Mars adversely placed as in Sloka above will cause constant ill-health, early death, separation, divorce, marital discord or incompatibility. 5. and the list continues……  MARS IN VARIOUS HOUSES FROM LAGNA:  1st House : Adventurous, temperamental, aggressive, independent, assertive, accident prone, and physical prowess; 2nd House: Poor judge of character, difficulty in learning, work hard to have minimum success and short tempered. 3rd House: Difficult relationship with siblings, good communication skills, contented, powerful, strong and haughty minded, 4th House: Loner, difficult relationship with mother, comfortable home successful career. 5th House: Impetuous, intelligent, high-strung, wok with physical exertion, incur debts, difficulty with children 6th House: Passionate, achievement in desires increased earning power, wealthy, sensual, overcome adversaries. 7th House: Strong sexuality, argumentative, difficulty with or separation from partner. 8th House: Weak health, money earned after hard work, strong sexuality, accident prone. 9th House: Difficulty with father, hard work to fewer results, achieves recognition. 10th House: Self – centered, sheer persistence, charitable, highly ambitious. 11th House: Wealthy, influential, many friends, lot of career goals. 12th House: Lonely, Strong sexuality, incur debts.  This concludes my article on ‘Mars’  Pathi  A.V.Pathi,  Astrologer, specialising in family problems, Child birth, Education, Health, Finance, and Litigation.
