" Ricdha "   a female Devata said to cause kaarya nashta / kaarya haani ; its kaala

comprises of Chaturthi,Shashthi,Navamithi, Dwadasithi,Chaturdasithi.Hence the

above tithi are avoided for all subha karyas in general.

 

Some say after eliminating first 9 ghatis for Chaturthi and Shashthi, 25 ghatis

for,Navamithi, 24 ghatis for Ashtamithi, 10 ghatis for Dwadahasithi, 5 ghatis

for Chaturdasithi, the rest of these tithis could be used for subha kaaryas in

unavoidable circumstances .
