Guest guest Posted October 19, 2000 Report Share Posted October 19, 2000 Dear Donna and List Members, I remember seeing somewhere a statement from Krushna as to when Rahu and Ketu could be used as indicators for the sub-period required for an event. I have been searching through all my paper work but seem unable to find it now. Can anyone tell me what was said about Ra/Ke regarding their use as sub-period lords. By the way I have been trying to get through to the Astrologyandtimingevents files but seem unable to do so. Has anyone else had any difficulty. I can get as far as the home page and signing in etc. but if I try to get to either the messages or the files it is so slow that my computer gives it away. In my try tonight I left it trying for 30minutes while I made a cup of tea but the blue indicator was still only half way there so I had to give it away again. As generally Ketu is connected to Moksha, so the dukhas or testing could be in any manner, but mostly internal turmoils,inner worries or fear of the unknown happening, where things do not appear to be working, as they should! Ketu is in the 9th house with Saturn, in the house owned by Mercury. Generally speaking It can give results related to 9th and 12th house(owned by Mercury), and related to Saturn (lord of 4th and 5th house. her Mercury is placed with badhkesh Sun in the 11th house, in the vyaya bhava of 12th. Saturn is in 6th house from 4th, and in 5th house from 5th. Ketu is in Ardra nakhsatra, which is explained as " Rudra is the lord of the wild animals and all things wild, strange or disturbing. These come through Ardra, which therefore needs to seek control over them " . She will undergo Mercury dasha from 10-2-2011 till 10-2-2028. Her Mercury is combust.She should start appropriate Sh Vishnu Mantra and Sh Durga mantras immediately ,which should remain a permanent feature of her life. In any birth chart the position of Lagnesh,Sun,Moon,Bhagyesh is very important,rather than the yogas or the yogakarka planets. Her lagnesh Venus is in 12th house and neech; so lagna bhava and lagnesh lack strength. Sun is svagrahi,but badhkesh for the birth chart. Merury is combust , posited with Sun and lacks strength. No planet is good or bad, it gives the fruits based on it's strength , the lordship of houses, and how it is placed in the birth chart. As far your query on Ketu, I had quoted " Ketave sadaiv dukha karka " .The meaning of Sukh-Dukha is different to different persons. A pure soul, saintly person may love to have more grinding or grilling in the form of so called dukhas and yet may feel sense of great learning and atmic strength from the so called dukhas. An ordinary person may go on complaining that he is losing his peace of mind, money, health, love etc. This is the reason, sages have called Ketu to be giver of dukha. When Ketu Mahadasha is on, the reins are in the control of Dashanath,who happenes to be the lord, other planets play subordinate roles. It happens during the mahadashas of other planets too. What I am trying to say is that no one can predict that the period of Ketu will be good or bad. It is just an perception.Therefore, one should be prepared for good or bad effects of any planatery dasha. No planet can give continuous Sukha or Dukha, howsover Yogakarka it may be, or how many Rajyogas may be present in the birth chart. That is why I adviced that she should strengthen Venus and Mercury. Venus , because it has the lordship of 8th house house too alongwith the lagna (Tanu Bhava) itself. It is not granting vipreet Rajyoga also(lord of trik bhava in trik), as it is neech,and also there is no neech bhanga for Venus. In all her Dn charts Mercury remains with Sun and is combust. Neecha Jupiter in 4th house has drishti on 8th house(A-11), 10th house (UL) and neecha Venus in 12th house. Saturn in 9th house has drishti on Sun/Mer(11th house),3rd house (Rahu) and 6th house of the birth chart. Although Saturn owns 4th and 5th house and is termed yogakarka, BUT the 4th house is also A-2,A-7,A-8 and 5th house is also A-3. Saturn also happens to be Dara Karaka. I may say, Rahu in 3rd house is consideed good placement and Ketu in 9th house is not a bad placement either.
