Understanding BPHS- chapter 55/ part 5

Dear Dheeraj ji,

Antra dasas results given in nine chapters in BPHS are mainly based on the

placement of

planets i.e. sthiti. Generally lordship and strength are not consider because

these parameters are specific to a nativity.

Kindly study the indicative results of Ketu antardasa in Rahu dasa. It is very

revealing.

I will try to highlight some features:

1. In general Ketu antardasa gives adverse results.-Verse 40

2. Verse 41- If Ketu is conjuct ( sanyukta) with 8th lord , results become more

adverse and

feel distress in body and mental agony.

(here BPHS has not indicated of placement of Ketu either from Rahu or

Lagna . It is also not mentioned planet is natural malefic or Benefic)

3.If Ketu is conjunct or aspected by natural or functional benefic , the

situation improves i.e.

some good may be exprienced by native ;a.relaxation in body ,b.gain of

wealth

c.recognition from king d .acquisition of wealth.

While accessing over all results , the influence of benefic and malefic

factors are to be accessed.

4. Verse 42- a. If Ketu is having Sambandha with Lagnesh will result in some

success.

BPHS indicated four type of sambandh and Phaldeepka indicated six type of

sambandha.

Any sambandha with lord of Lagna will do some good ( other points as

mentioned above

may be kept in view. If ,say , ascendent lord is natural malefic , some

adverse result will also come )

b. IF lagna lord is conjunct with Ketu , some advantage will definitely

accrue.Here again

it is shown that in the case of nodes sambandha other than conjunction

are not effective.

c. If ketu is placed in angular and trine houses (and above mentioned

auspicious influence

will be on Ketu) the good results definitely be felt.

d . A weak Ketu if placed in Trik houses (and under malefic influence) the

adverse results will

be felt in abundance.

e.Parasara teaches us that Ketu is lord of scorpio (as well Pisces ) and

Rahu is of Aquarius

(as well Virgo).BPHS uses Marka lord ship of nodes specifically (whereas

their lord dhip

in sambandha is not considered that effective) If ketu is lord of MARKA

PLACES it

will give distress in the body.

 

If dasa results are carefully scanned , it gives useful hints for

predictive purposes.

If we recollect from earlier chapter, relationship of planets refer to the

natural, temporary and compound relationship (naisargik, tatkalik etc). So on

one side, we consider this relationship of ketu with the lagna lord

 

While association simply means joining or aspect or even by way of diposition

(yuti, drishti etc). Ketu with the LL, aspected by LL, Ketu placed in the

constellation of the LL etc
